PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

Successfully reclaimed £900 from Welcome Finance via a 3rd party but I cannot remember the name, it was an abbreviation like FCS or something? Anyway, they were claiming on behalf of Welcome Finance and sent me the paperwork. I remember Welcome Finance being particularly pushy about PPI when I took out a small loan so thought it wouldn't harm seeing if I could claim back and I could. All I did was complete the paperwork (after checking the company's credentials etc) and the cash arrived in my bank a few weeks later.

Received a letter today from Halifax offering me £1696 for a loan i had with them several years ago. Absolutely over the moon.

I now have 2 credit cards to claim for, 1 also with halifax so hopefully that will be just as easy and straightforward as this claim was.

What proportion of your redress did you pay to this third party, though? :mad:
Everyone reading this should realise it can be done very easily and for free by anyone.

I get so excited reading all these posts, i have just started my claims and are hopeful after reading all the stories.......

Can I ask has anyone had a sucess story with egg, I have credit card and a loan?

The FOS did not say anything. I sent off all the copies of all the letters and emails between MBNA and me. Also filled out the FOS form. Received the usual letter back saying it could be up to a year because of the back log. 6 weeks later received letter from FOS saying MBNA is going to make a goodwill payment under the FOS terms. 6 weeks later had the cheque for 16K. I did see on this site that MBNA did use pre-ticked boxes so added this to the FOS form.

Can I ask when you opened this account as my oh has just had the his complaint rejected for the same reason and believes the box was pre-ticked as well,
