Ladies and gents

Can an expert look at these figures and tell me what a fair offer would be Halifax tole me today that they are offering £1970 and the cals are in the post. Ill give you all the figures of the loan

Amount of creidt ( The cash Loan) £8000
Amount of creidt ( The insurance of the loan) £1417.60
Total amount of credit ( The total loan) £9417.60
Duration of the agrrement 26months

Total amount you pay for the cash loan £899.68
Total amount you pay fot the Insurance loan £1577.04
Total amount payable £10,476.72
Monthly payments £436.53

Interest 9.3%

Can someoen advise me what they think of the offer of £1970
The offer they have given you is the ppi plus 8% interest, the interest for the ppi is in the monthly ppi payment ,as the total you paid for ppi=£1577.04 the rest will be the 8%

Yeh, I've spoken to them myselves earlier in the process, and was told something similar . . . I think we're just going to have to wait it out I'm afraid - I certainly don't want to delay things even further, I will continue to call - there's no harm in that, they have always been more than polite with me on the phone. . . I understand they are just giving as much information as they are allowed to - I just hope it's here before Christmas as it would make things so much easier! Good Luck

Just sent off a courteous but determined e-mail to Mr David Chan requesting the money be paid and advising him again of their legal obligations 'david.chan@barclaycard.co.uk' will keep you advised as to any response (placed a read and delivery receipt so I know that its at least arrived there!)

• Hi,

I got my redress letter on the 20th September.

I have emailed them twice this week with no reply and emailing them on a regular basis but getting no answers which is frustrating.

Just would be nice to get this money before Christmas!.

It is so frustrating and totally unfair we are having to wait this long. How can they get away with it!!.

Sorry for the rant!!

Hi

How long have you actually been waiting since the offer?

We are also waiting for 2 cheques from them as we no longer bank with them.
We complained about these 2 in July and we received the offer late Sept, and hubby received an email this morning just to say that "please be assured that the refunds have been processed and will be with us shortly" but that's as far as it goes with no actual timescale.

When was the last time you got in touch with them? x;)

I have sent my complaint into the FOS.
Egg said that the box was ticked, and they are not going to uphold my complaint, and that the matter is noe closed....

I'm ready to fight !

I am sitting here waiting to hear from either EGG or the FOS, does anyone know how long this takes? I have not seen many people who have had joy from their Egg Cards.

Egg have returned a verdict that I must have ticked the "box" online, when I feel that it was an opt out option.

Has anyone had any recent success with HSBC for loan ppi? I'm 13 weeks into a 16 week wait and am starting to get impatient, will they really drag it out the full 16 weeks then reject the claim?

Hi. I had a claim with hsbc over credit card ppi they waited until the 16th week to send a letter saying they upheld my claim and made me an offer just over £2000 which I was well pleased with sent letter back and was in my account in 5 days so hold out I no it's a loan and not credit card good luck
