Congratulations to all that has been paid out xxx
My partner got his offer dated the 07/11/11 from lloyds tsb, after reading everything I have reliased getting an offer is just stage one. Does anyone know what the real timescale on a payment will be ? The news is reporting an average of 56days but after reading it looks like maybe 100days +. I feel like our life is on hold waiting.
can anyone shed any light ?
    thanks

Lucky you!! When did you complain/ accept? I am waiting on a loan ppi repayment and am into month 7 of the whole process now - frustrating......

Anyway, not sure your numbers above add up?? The total amount payable looks a bit low ????
  • Got cheque for £3086.12 just 7 days after being told of offer. Although i have questioned their figures. Happy days.

    Hi villan501,
Despite your figures not quite adding up, I have done a calculation for the PPI + 8% standard interest and your offer of £1970 is quite generous to be honest. If I were you I would be accepting ;)
    Successes
    Sainsbury's/BOS £6,400 Paid :)
    MBNA £3,600 Paid :)

    Hi Dilus

I am by no means an expert but if you add the ppi and the interest associated with the ppi then if far exceeds the offer of £1,970 doesn't it? Admittedly I dont know if the loan has been paid off but how do you come to that conclusion??

Just wonder because I am waiting on something similar and was expecting more??!
  • Hi All
Glad to see so many claims being successful carry on the good work.
Just got another reply from Capital One and basically they are not budging on my claim.Back in 1999 i took out an account with them and i have a copy of the original copy of the credit agreement that clearly states "i do not require Ppi".I did not tick the box etc.
They claim that i have had a phonecall back in 2002 stating that i wish to take up Ppi and that they added it to my account 3 months later(as if)after the phonecall !.
I wrote back (as per advice from the forum)asking for a copy of the transcript and any other evidence to support their allegations.
Got another letter today with the same old rubbish as well as they have no copy of the transcript but basically assuming that i wanted ppi.
I will goto the Fos but i think the timelines are lengthy at the moment.Just wondered if anyone else has had anything similar and got success out of these muppets.I have sent an email to the Ceo but no reply.
In summary i did not accept ppi,i never ticked the original agreement stating that i wanted ppi and they have no evidence of this so called tel conversation back in 2002 but just made up their own story.
Any advice would be much appreciated

    Hi katiebbb
villan501 has paid £1,577.04 in total for the PPI (PPI + interest over the 24 months) according to his figures above, so he should receive that back + 8% standard interest (which I have worked out using a recommended equation) = £129 which TOTALS £1,706.04
I think villan has made a typo in the bottom set of figures (what he had to pay back including interest) the total for the cash part should read £8,996.80 not £899.68
The figure of £1,577.04 for the PPI is correct

  • Hi
Does anyone have the email address for customer services for Black Horse? Is it the same as LLoyds TSB?

My ex partner and I have just been knocked back for a refund and I would like to give them a bit of a nudge.

My partner agreed to pay the loan when we split but has been unable to recently due to ill health. He is self employed and has been unable to work. During all the millions of conversations with Black Horse regarding defaults etc never has anyone there ever suggested he make a claim on the ppi on this loan. I was unaware that the loan even had ppi until I became embroiled in them pestering for money, which was when I put in a claim for a refund. Does anyone think I should push it a bit, or should I accept their decision that they believe we were mt missold. Eitehr way surely if they rule that then we should be able to claim on the insurance, shouldnt we?

:THusband has had a credit card for several years which is now with MBNA but he could not remember who he originally applied to for the card. Whoever it was was taken over by MBNA. Having read some of the posts he sent an email to MBNA on 27 Oct requesting a refund of PPI payments. He did not send a letter or fill in any forms - just the email.

Today he got an offer of over £5,000 from MBNA as a gesture of goodwill and they are also forwarding the claim to the previous company for them to have a look at to see if he is due any more money. That is above and beyond anything he expected and what a great outcome. They will send his cheque within 28 days. For them to send it on to the other company is a most unexpected bonus.

Nice one MBNA. Three cheers for a great service. If only the others were as good as this. :T:T:T:T
