Thankyou for the advise. I think I will write back to them requesting that interest at least is paid to us. Dont know whether to send acceptance letter at same time and alter it or just write letter first and see what response we get.
How long have they given you to accept?
Or is no timescale given?
I would otherwise write to them first, send by recorded delivery, tell them you are asking if they will be refunding you the interest as you understood this should come back to you, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

This should be easy to find as it was only started in 08.
They are open today.0 -
Not too sure on this, you would be better posting this hereSorry if this is in the wrong place, recently did lot's of small ppi reclaims and won. Couldn't do big major reclaims as they were mentioned in BR. Discharged since 2009. Anyway came across old like 1995/1997 bank statements with loan & ppi's on it, contacted bank,Natwest, major creditors mentioned in Br. They said "yes can see you have lots's of ppi's. I said, yes but because I'm Br, and ur my creditor I can't really claim on then, but can I claim on on 1995/97 loans?" ok, they said. This was in July. Got letter today with an offer of £750, (loan was £500), but I have to sign a agreement saying they can deducted any amount I owe them!! My question, does this mean they might decide to use this £750 towards the Br amount against it? Please advice?

Banks0mewin wrote: »HI,
Have any of you seen the statement in the news section of the website regarding Lloyds Banking group.
It states ' How long is compensation taking?
The government-backed giant admits those due money back for mis-sold cover on a Lloyds TSB loan may not get their cash for approximately 56 days after an offer – double the intended wait – due to the huge backlog of claims it is sifting through.
However, as some of our forum users state, delays can be longer than 56 days.
Lloyds Banking Group, the parent company of Lloyds TSB, insists PPI redress on its other products, which include those from Halifax and Bank of Scotland, should fall within 28 days, the period set by providers as part of a 'gentleman's agreement'.
City watchdog, the Financial Services Authority, says payments must be "prompt" following an offer, but does not set a rigid time-frame.
Additional compensation promised
The Financial Ombudsman Service, which arbitrates in disputes between banks and their customers, says providers must pay any interest due on compensation up to the point of payment.
Lloyds confirms it will make those interest payments and offer additional redress "on a case-by-case basis".
So those whose payments take over 28 days after an offer should make an extra claim.'
If this is the case why am I and many others still enduring waits of more that 60 + days on Halifax CC's. This is disgusting they are now trying positive publicity tactics, when we all know the facts!!!
I am absolutely amazed at this bank's statements!!!
Hi
What a load of tripe !!! My claim upheld/offer letter was dated 22 August 79 days ago and still no cheque !!!!!:eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -

They have given us 28 days. I did do a letter this morning which we were going to send recorded on Monday morning, but I have just had another thought as well while hoovering.
Do companies not have to pay the interest up to todays date, as they have only quoted interest at 8% up to when we requested the PPI to be removed, which was approx 2007. I understand that they would only pay the premiums up to that date, but I thought interest was to cover loss up to now.
I am possible totally wrong and in that case will send letter already done on Monday.
Thanks again for help.0 -
Hi, I know the answers i need are somewhere on her but cant find them so here goes: Just received a long winded load of c..p from MONUMENT re c/c claimand i would love some advice..Opened account in 2002 and paid a monthly premium until 2006.. Used standard mis sell complaint..Here is a summary of their response...
"monument does not and has never sold ppi..it was a payment break plan, not insurancepolicy"( I SAY WHAT WAS IT THEN).
They say i may recallcompleting the application form blah blah....(I DIDNT FILL IN A FORM)....They say their records show i agreed over phone prior to account being opened...Next paragraph they say they have no recording of such call.
They say that i have not previously contacted them about PBP...In fact i did only to be told that to cancel may affect my credit limit(7k and nearly maxed out..)Obviously they have no record of such call..
Please advise on how to progress with this as i am not sure what to do...By the way,,they have offered me £34.50 as a goodwill gesture and no liability PLEASE HELP!!!!!!
Iam doing ok with other claims and will post when i know more..ALL THANKS TO MSE.....0 -
