PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

well done to all of you who have had a result.....well done to martin too, without him, hardly any of us would be doing this reclaiming lark..this is my story now, i thought it was a no hoper, anyway, about 8- 9 weeks ago i sent off my first template reclaiming PPI, letter...my loan was taken out in feb 2000, well over the 6 yrs limit, but as i was clearing out all my stuff, i found the original loan letter from 2000, and also i found bank statements to show that i was still paying off this loan mid 2002....well, if you dont ask, you dont get, i thought, nothing to lose....anyway, yesterday i had a letter come through from the Halifax, saying that even though they thought that they were in the right, they are, seeing as im a VALUED CUSTOMER , their words and goodwill and all that, they are saying they will pay out (dont know how much yet, but it wont be a lot, but a win is a win) to take me back to as if i never took the PPI out..............anyway, my point is, just try, you have nothing to lose but the price of a stamp or two........he who dares ........good luck everybody.....

hi everyone! this isnt my success but just wanted to tell you a guy on first plus compaints forum has won with first plus. he says hes not holding his breath till he sees the cash, how good is that? he didnt even use fos!! he has not given much detail out yet about this but i am sure if you go on that website you can follow his tale, it has taken him four years but WHAT A RESULT

FP have got to be one of the hardest of the companies so far, but now things may finally be looking up, I do hope so, for all the reclaimers on this company.:T

Who was the provider: HSBC
How much did you get back: £1072
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: After one e-mail i got the standard letter back saying it could take four weeks and then a further letter saying it'll be another four weeks; when four weeks was up, i had to phone several times but got home today to a letter saying that my complaint was being upheld and that my branch would be in contact to restructure the rest of my loan repayments.

hi di yes first plus are a terrible company, its nice to hear when somebody gets one over on them x
