Hi folks just an update on my ppi sitaution
Got a letter from FOS on the 19th Dec appologising but they still hadnt been able to pass it onto an adjudacator.
Phoned them this morning to find out what was happening and they still havent been able to move it on.I know they are very busy people but this is really dragging on.

Have 3 other claims (2 Welcome Finance and 1 Direct Auto Finance) with Dawson Hart Solicitors been with them since May and phoned them yesterday after having to fill out 3 questionaires twice over they still havent been able to pass them on to council..

AAAAARGH this is taking for ever:mad:

Just got a letter from Dawson Hart re the 3 ongoing claims, the 2 with Wecolme Finace i should here next week if counsel will proceed.
The claim with Direct Auto they are refusing to continue with as they say the have a less than 50% chance of winning, this has taken them A YEAR to tell me this, surely they could have realised that at the time,an utter watse of time i should did it myself instead of listening to other people

  • OOOH so many success stories at the moment; really pleased for you all.

I've put in a claim for misselling PPI with a personal loan to HSBC and have had a fairly speedy acknowledgement saying they will try to investigate within four weeks. If I won the amount would wipe out my credit card balance which would be - Faaabulous! Am keeping everything crossed...

Had a phone call from FOS asking to close the case on Capital One PPI Credit Card, and we said could we keep it open till payment had been received. He said that Capital had said they had paid it into our account, we said no our account is closed. FOS rang capital ,they had credited our closed credit card, the money has just been sitting there. The FOS has asked them to send a cheque asap.
    Today I love the FOS!

well done to all of you who have had a result.....well done to martin too, without him, hardly any of us would be doing this reclaiming lark..this is my story now, i thought it was a no hoper, anyway, about 8- 9 weeks ago i sent off my first template reclaiming PPI, letter...my loan was taken out in feb 2000, well over the 6 yrs limit, but as i was clearing out all my stuff, i found the original loan letter from 2000, and also i found bank statements to show that i was still paying off this loan mid 2002....well, if you dont ask, you dont get, i thought, nothing to lose....anyway, yesterday i had a letter come through from the Halifax, saying that even though they thought that they were in the right, they are, seeing as im a VALUED CUSTOMER , their words ;) and goodwill and all that, they are saying they will pay out (dont know how much yet, but it wont be a lot, but a win is a win) to take me back to as if i never took the PPI out..............anyway, my point is, just try, you have nothing to lose but the price of a stamp or two........he who dares ........good luck everybody.....
