  • At the beginning of July I too received a letter from the FOS stating they had upheld my complaint and that HSBC had 10 weeks to calculate and reply to me. 12 weeks later nothing so I phone today and after 77 attempts I get through to be told I am a priority case and it would be sorted in 4 weeks. I emailed the CEO Brian Robertson and got the same response That it would be looked into strait away.plc

Just had a phone call saying my calculation is being done today and I will have a letter within 3 days.. I have asked them to phone me personally with he amount

At last she may be getting somewhere!.
This could very well be the the start of the calculations for the redress of ppi,i hope they now act fast to get this sorted once and for all.

Thanks. We received an email from the adjudicator this morning who informed us that the Ombudsman had ruled in my sister's favour and the Final Decision was sent out on the 30th of September. Very disappointing that it hasn't arrived yet, as with another payment due next Monday we're a bit unsure of whether to pay it. The Ombudsman has ruled that my sister should be put back in the position she was in before the PPI was sold, so by my calculations she has paid over £3,000 than she should have. We're even more in the dark now as the light at the end of the tunnel is very dimly lit at present.

    Me again!

Managed to finally get through to MBNA today.

Apparently they 'couldn't find me' on their system, but now I have given a few more details they have located me and will respond by 25th of November with a decision.

Next stop - Capital One, Sky Card, Natwest Cards and still awaiting a reply from Halifax :rotfl:
  • Hi,

Thanks to everyone on this site, I wrote a while back about claiming PPI for my Mother,

Barclays have paid £1640 (initially offered £500 as said it was to old and could n't find the original paper work)

Barclays again, £6142 ppi on a £15k loan (£4830 refund and £1311 interest, although waiting for the interest payment)

Used this sites forms and information from the forum so many thanks.

I had a card with MBNA but recieved a letter from BOS saying my clim had been upheld.
Have had no calculations, so rang them (BOS)and they said that they were doing calculations letter recived on 24/08/2011.
i am confused though, do the MBNA or BOS have to pay me.
Does any one know the CEO email address ?

Anyone had a payment from Barclaycard recently? Not seen any monies received of late?

Phoned again this morning....acceptance recieved by them 1st september. Guy would not budge from the "8 weeks from date of acceptance" speil....assured me that 27th October would be the latest.

Annoying really as I'm gonna pay off the balance on my card but have already paid one months interest and now looks like another!!

OMG! OMG! OMG!!!!! I've just come home to a letter from Barclays...I have had some loans that I re-financed dating back to 2000, including a big one for £30k when I had my extension built. I though I might get £2000 maybe. Imagine my surprise when I read my estimate letter....£14,728.32. To say I am gobsmacked is an understatement!!!! And to sweeten it further, another letter with £197 for overdraft PPI. Now just waiting for offer on husband's loans which were refused as they said they had no details of, but I had sent the policies with the claim forms...so I emailed Bob Diamond on Saturday, and got another letter today to say it had been re-opened.

£14000 - oh my word! Thank you to this forum...holiday in Florida already booked. Daughter's driving lessons booked. Refurbishment of dining room! Yay!!! I am sooo happy! :money::money::money::money:
