  • followed Martins advice and claimed against Alliance & Leicester for PPI miselling and Santander backed down and agreed to refund £2160.45 in payments + Interest. I initially thought what chance but the templates made it easy when backed up by the Ombudsman's template. as soon as they received it within 3 days confirmation of settlement. One very happy camper. Give it a go as A&L were issued a record fine for miselling and my claim goes back to 2007.:j

    hi all some help please

my old redcats, empire shop direct got rejected previouly - so i went to the ombudsman who wanted details of the underwriters.

this was a compant called caci life who are in ireland so the uk fos said it has to go throught the irish obmudsman and told me to tel them as the policy was underwtiten by caci life they should be held responsible for miss sale as redcats empire were only a broker / agency.

well i went back to the irish ombudsman with that and they have said no caci life have done nothing wrong. what do i do now do i just give up??????

    thanks rae

Hi all. For anyone waiting for their money from HSBC, I just called today to get some idea of when I can expect the money in my account. The guy I spoke to said that it can take up to 15 working days from date of receipt of acceptance to having the money in my account as they have a huge volume of acceptance letters coming thru. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the advice Di - I don't suppose you have the RBS CEO details?? I know is cheeky to ask but if you or any members have it to hand it will save me a bit of net trawling

    Hi Rae

    How frustrating!

How about getting back hold of the FOS over here and explaining what you have been told by the FOS in Ireland.
Have they even looked into to it? xx
