Hi all,
I have a claim in against Tesco for a credit card and loan and I recevied a letter yesterday saying they are still looking into my case (i think this is my 3 letter of this type).
This week is week 16 is there anything I can do to gee them up? do I need to just wait? is it worth giving them a ring?
As always thanks for any help offered.0 -

Wow, nice surprise for you, well done :j:j:j:j:j0 -
Barclaycard formally Morgan Stanley from 2001. Started the claim in May this year after getting all the T&C and lodging a complaint, received several letters delaying the response from them. Have just had their final response that I filling out a form ticked the box and sent it in so will not hold up my complaint. I did point out to them that I had a job which paid 13 weeks full pay if sick or if I had an accident. I would also get redundancy pay and had life cover so would not have taken out the ppi if it was explained to me correctly.
So have just filled out the FOS form and posted to them to join the one for MBNA.0 -
Does anyone know how Halifax are working their responses to claims?? I am three weeks away from the initial 16 between claim and yes/no response. I know people who sent in claims after me yet have got a response already. I just rang (was shocked to get straight through to someone) and they said there is still no new notes on my file to say if its started to be investigated (slight concern considering they only have until 1st November to respond!). So any clue from those who know there "process" would be great. Cheers guys & girlsArise Sir Martin Lewis :money:, For services to the Great British public. This man deserves a Knighthood :beer:0

My Halifax letters states "please note that this interest payment constitutes taxable income and needs to be discussed with your tax office or professional advisor to determine if any tax is due".
I am hard of hearing so wondered if there was an email address, or if not the postal address so I can write to them to check how I stand.
I am currently on maternity pay which I only have one more payment left of then I will not have any income after that as I am not returning to work so not sure where I would stand on this basis?
Thanks x

for other ways to communicate with them.
I take it Halifax are paying you 'gross' and not 'net of tax'? If so you need to let them know, they will probably only adjust your tax code to take it and remember it's only on the 8% simple interest part that you have to pay it.:DThanks to all the competition posters.0 -
Another £650 pound cheque for CC from the halifax today:j:TI don't think they communicate by email as it isn 't secure, try checking out their website

Thanks for that, I was wondering the same, as I haven't an income since leaving work permanently after maternity.0 -
