Hi all, has any one had a payment from lloyds as i was orgianally told i would be paid by bank transfere with in 21 working days of them getting my signed acceptance form back, which was the 1st of sept which took it to the 29th which is this Thursday, got a letter from them dated the 16th which now states the amount but have now been told they have been given more time again and they get 21 working days form the date of the letter with the amount on which now takes it to the 13th of oct!!!! is this correct??? and they said they no longer pay by bank transfere it is all cheques????
getting fobed off every time i speak to them
can any one advise,
Thanks Jody
I sent my acceptance letters back end of August, Got letters with figures last week (2 credit cards) and it said on them you no longer have to return anything. If they dont hear from you they assume you are happy with figures and mine said it will be paid into my account number that I gave them. No mention of cheques so they seem to be giving conflicting information to people.0 -
What were you reclaiming: Loan PPI (several loans going back to 2002)
Who was the provider: Barclays
How much did you get back: just over £10,000
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: Letter then FOS questionnaire
And then write your brief reclaim tale:
Sent a letter in June followed by the FOS questionnaire as requested by Barclays. Same reasons given as many on here, ie adequate sick pay cover, not told it was optional, full costs not explained to me etc. Told I may have to wait until mid October for a response so I waited. Had an offer letter today. It does advise that it may take a further 40 days for them to pay out but it's good to know my complaint has been upheld.
I'd been aware of the PPI misselling issue for at least 12 months but never got round to looking into it as I thought I wouldn't be eligible for a refund or that it would be a major hassle. Spent a while reading posts on here, many with a similar tale to mine so I spent a couple of hours putting together my reasons for reclaiming and sent it off. It really was that easy.
Thanks to everyone on here for contributing as I wouldn't have done it without you.0 -
:jThank you soooo much MSE! and the members who boldly claimed before me:T
I have just received confirmation of a successful PPI claim for £1594.32. I re mortgaged with the (now defunct) Alliance and Leicester in 2003 which was repaid in 2009. Santander who took over A&L have repaid my £1137.50 in payments plus £456.82 interest, (8% simple per annum).
I used the template letter on this site and posted it about a fortnight to 3 weeks ago. I now have an offer which I have today accepted. Thank all so much for the information and inspiration.

Hey just wanted to add my story after reading loads of others.
I had a loan with Egg that I finished paying off last year for around £5000 (I think). On the final payment I noticed a new figure on my online banking page with what looked like an insane figure next to the words payment protection. This had never been there until the last payment was due. I sent them an email through the online banking system asking if this amount was what I had paid in PPI on top of the loan. After several more emails ending in me blankly telling them to stop avoiding my question and just tell me yes or no, they told me yes I had paid just over £1100 in PPI.
By the time I got round to reclaiming the PPI the messages had gone from the system as they're only kept for 30 days. I also couldn't find any info on my loan as most of it was done online and I had moved etc. I could still log onto my online account though and send messages so I used the letter template saying I was mis sold and added bits about the previous emails etc and clicked send.
I got a reply the following day saying they had passed it onto to X department, a week later a letter came saying it could take up to 12 weeks as they're super busy with all the claims. Three and a half weeks after sending the email a cheque for just over £1700 came through the post! Result, I now have paid off both my overdrafts and am now debt free.. pretty much :j
So if you have/had an egg loan and can still log on to it then this is an option for reclaiming without having to physically post a thing. It only took me 20 mins of my time too.
Thanks and good luck0 -
Followed the guide, filled in the forms and have just received a cheque for £620.00 from EGG. No quibbling. Whole process took less than a month.0
