This is the one i used for HFC and they got back to me the same day x;)

    Hi Di3004,

If you do not mind me asking Di3004 did your HFC claim go through FOS? Mine has been going on since Sep 2010 through FOS - only got a letter on sat saying HFC have agreed to pay and if I do not respond in 14 days FOS will assume I have agreed. Just wondering how HFC are like with payments.

Has anyone had any payment from Barclays after having been told the 40 day wait? Just wondering if they do stick to their word.

    Hiya
Mine was a complexed case, and the business lender were Endeavour Personal Finance, where they used customer service of HFC, but the lender tried to blame the broker Click Finance for selling our ppi where all along it was the lender.

So with the broker dissolved, the FOS tried taking it the insurer avenue Hamilton, but its only now the lender admitted liability of the PPI/
HFC have fully taken over Endeavour, and even though the FOS has been dealing with this since 2009, I found more evidence since and sent to HFC, and this was resolved through a letter I sent them and not by the FOS.

So basically even though it was with the FOS, they were going the underwriter direction and I personally kept on at the lender.;)

I received an acceptance form in our case, and as soon as they receive it, it takes 28 days for them to refund the compensation to our bank account.

    Well done to you!

  • Hi,has anybody had any dealings with first national motor finance regarding ppi on a car loan.Any address or phone number would be appreciated. This loan was taken in 2001 so would it be worth trying to reclaim? thx all
  • Can't believe it !!! after Barclaycard initially rejected my complaint , I wrote back to them asking to kindly re-consider .The reason they used to reject was that their accepted sales process at the time would mean that the PPI could not have been re-sold.
Sent the letter 14 days ago , also emailed the CEO to ask for his help , just rang Barclays to get an update , was told a resolution letter has been sent to me . The advisor very kindly read the letter back to me , I am to receive £16664 back !!!! .
This is my second successful claim , I am also due £10664 back from Barclays on a misold PPI for a loan .
Absolutely overjoyed with this outcome !!! I can never thank the people on this site enough for the help and guidance .
A VERY VERY BIG THANK YOU TO ALL

    Hi
Have only heard about the 40 days wait on this site.
Barclays have had our acceptance letter for 40 days today!..Still nothing.

They did give 10 days for the return of the reply which if they count from that then we are at day 36.

I think that someone should be publicly tackling Barclaycard about their poor performance here, in an earlier correspondence they said they would like to "resolve your complaint as quickly as possible". The lack of information and indeed access to the facts about what happens next is quite frankly very unprofessional. They should try putting information on their dedicated website, it may avoid unnecessary phone calls and give them more time to deal with complaints or is that too obvious. It might even save them MONEY!!!

Obvious to people like us, not to banks - would be far to simple.

Good luck with the rest of your claim x
  • I took out a personal loan with Lloyds back in 1997, I was told I needed PPI in order to have the Loan. In 2005 I lost my job and fell into arrears, I claimed on my PPI and I think they made about 6 payments. I had never defaulted on the Loan, eventually my loan went to debt collectors, Apex. I then started paying £75pm from 2008. To my knowledge the PPI is still running, The only thing I have is a letter from Apex with a reference number, would I be able to ask them to look at the mis-sold PPI and if so how would I go about it?

    Thanks guys, great site! :j
  • Does anyone have a customer services email address for Halifax please?

  • Hi everyone

Just wanted to post a success I have had with Citibank this weekend in reclaiming PPI.

Just a bit of background. I took out a £10k 5 year loan with them in Jan 2008 which included PPI. I was pressurised into taking the insurance and was promised a reduction in my interest rate after 6 months. Of course this never happened!

I only had the loan for about a year when I refinanced with a tesco loan with much better interest rate and no PPI

I never thought about the possibility of being missold but after seeing that a lot of the banks were refunding charges without argument I thought I has nothing to lose.

I sent off my forms on 5th July to Citifinancial and received my cheque on 17th Sept for £2,563!

I was only expecting a couple of hundred at the most, so I was very surprised! Given that I only had the loan for a year and my total loan payments were only £230 per month.

I have no idea if I could have been due more, I don't want to risk losing something that is quite a substantial amount to me.

If anyone is unsure whether they should apply or not, just go for it. It costs no more than a stamp!

I'm off to New York in 2 weeks so I will be doing a lot of shopping now!

Good luck to everyone going through the process
