By the way as anyone had any redress beyond the six years with Lloyds, could you let us both know, and also has anyone had a breakdown of there redress without asking,as i think they should be showing ppi repayments and ppi interest seperate.

If you have proof that you paid ppi further back than the 6 years, they will have to look at this again.

Interest on cc is different to loans,Smitchy will explain how this works and why some people only get a small amount of 8% and some get more.
  • Need some advice folks. Yesterday we recieved 2 letters from HFC.

1 was an offer to my wife stating that HFC were refunding ALL PPI payments to customers but only for the past 6 years and her offer of £234 came without any interest.

2 was a letter to me asking for exactly the information that I had already given to the Halifax 16 weeks ago. Now Halifax is the parent company and the Ombudsman told me that HBOS owns this complaint. Why then are HFC asking for the same information already provided to the parent company?

This makes even less sense as my wife's letter states that they are returning all PPI payments. Of course my claim will be in the thousands as opposed to the hundreds.

    Hi Hades 112,

Congratulations on your wins. I received a letter from FOS yesterday saying HFC had owned up and if I did not reply in 14 days they would assume I have accepted HFC offer - no figures though. I think your wife should ring HFC and ask why they are not paying the 8% interest. As for your case I think you should provide them with that information if you have it and see what happens. Anything to get your money!
  • Hi forum,

Has anyone won their claim against HFC through the FOS? Just wondering what happens once you get the Ombudsman letter telling you HFC have agreed to pay.
  • Hi Guys,

    Hi Sunny8,

Roger Lovering left HFC ages ago. I once emailed him (months ago) on a personal email address I found on the internet and he emailed back saying he had left HFC. I believe HFC is now part of HSBC so maybe the case rests with the HSBC CEO! Good luck with yours!

    Hi pigsmightfly,

Many thanks! Have you had any claims with HFC? They are the most difficult bank I think.
