  • well i've still not heard off barclays .no offer ,nothing even tho i had the reply on the 31st of August letter .Not sure if that's a good thing are a bad thing ,been banking with them for like 21 years might even close my account as not happy with this it all .Still waiting for my cheque from rbs as well its very long winded all this just hope its worth the wait ,any body eles waiting to hear from barclays ?good look to all :)

I heard on Thursday about one current loan and thought the other offer would follow. Nothing in the post.
I had the letter saying I would hear before 31st August and will ring them on Monday about the outstanding offer.

The offer on the current loan refunds PPI and also restructures the loan deducting PPI.

I got paid out on my House Of fraser store card which is Santander, but unbelievably they turned me down for my Wallis Card which is also Santander, both forms completed at the same time and were identical!
I have also sent my Wallis card to FOS after FLA turned me down as well.
My thoughts is that if i have been paid out once then I'm sticking to my guns and will do everything possible to get my money back
With Support from here and I sent all letter on 3rd August 2011
    I have claimed

House of Fraser £650 and won received payment
Wallis turned down and with FOS
Creation Finance £90 upheld awaiting payment
    MBNA £9,000 upheld awaiting payment
Lomard Tricity First National-turned down and with FOS as its from 1992
Yorkshire Bank x2 loans Still waiting to hear (1998 and 2001)
HSBC x2 loans Still waiting to hear

Still awaiting SAR from 15th August from
    Co Op
    Santander
    Barclays

    Good luck everyone
    Lisa

yes, i the two that have been declined is evans(santander) and littlewoods/very (shop direct). Sent off to FOS! absolutely fuming as they claim that they have phoned me on a few occasions to change and upgrade policy and therefor struggle to see why i am complaining. I cancelled this insurance the minute i discovered it and would certainly not agree to it at all nevermind "upgrade" it!! I have asked the FOS to ask for proof. This is absolutely unbelievable.

  • Hi there im new to all this so hope Im posting in the right place. I have just received a letter from Lloyds Bank in relation to the PPI mis-selling claim in made in May of this year.

They say they are preparing to offer me :

Difference between actual and revised balance 1908.39
Credit Interest at 8% per annum simple 65.98

    Total 1974.37

I have had this card with them approx 1998 and from the statements I have I estimate that I have paid at least 200 per year to them in ppi between 1998 and 2008 when I woke up and cancelled.

I recently had success with Halifax One Card who refunded me premiums and interest and I think Lloyds are trying to get away with refunding the premiums only.

Can someone back me up on this as to be honest Ive had a complete gutful of Lloyds over the years and if I am right i am minded not to accept this offer and proceed with the Ombudsman. They have also not given me a breakdown of the time period they have applied the calculations so I have very little to go on.

Does anyone think this is worth arguing? All comments will be most eagerly accepted.

Hi there & welcome (another from my neck of the woods) lol.

First of all well done on your success!

Did lloyds still hold details of the older statements?
You could maybe email them and ask them just to be sure and tell them you have hold of them and you will happily send them.

Do tell them though your still considering the offer but want to know if they will go back even earlier.
    Good luck.

Yes,i am with you on this, received mine today and i am gutted,i have also had my fill with them, firstly altho correct reference number, tey addressed me as a Mrs Evans (not my name at all,or nowhere near it) and this is what they said,i have had my card since jan 2002 till still live, but cancelled ppi in late 2008 when i seen the light as well.

Difference between the actual and revised balance £4,738.96
    Simple interest at 8% simple £ 68.18
    Total £ 4,802.14

also if accept will put it into an account number that is NOT even MYACCOUNT.
Hve been confirmed this afternoon by branch manager that my credit card was authorised by our business manager, and to get back to them and look on thePBS Notes (whatever these are) and they will see that it was defaulted back to 1/12002,as they are saying that they have no data stating that i had the card before 2004(utter bull**it)card services also confirmed this morning what date my card was started on,but wanted £6.00 per statement per monthif sent to me.I was told by Branch Manager this afternoon under DPA rules it will cost me £10 for all paperwork, card services this afternoon said not so,£6,entirely different department, and this is the cost.
My card is live so they should be able to look back at this.
But i am agreeing with you here, where is the interest!!!!!!!!
Have done a stern but polite letter and emailed to CEO AT LLOYDS this afternnoon stating how unhappy i am with all the data errors on communication with me,asking why there is no breakdown(do they think we are all stupid)and that we are just going to accept, and to relook at my redress,as i think there may be a substantial amount missing.
Alsoi will have no alternative but to contact ICO if the data protection errors are not sorted out,as i also had a wrong name(another different name)on my upheld letter.

By the way as anyone had any redress beyond the six years with Lloyds, could you let us both know, and also has anyone had a breakdown of there redress without asking,as i think they should be showing ppi repayments and ppi interest seperate.

Thanks (keep in touch, let me know how you get on)
i will let you all know when i here back from my Email:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Huh! Spoke too soon ...Our original letter was just asking for deatails of past loans, as we thought we's been mis-sold PPI. Nat West responded by saying they were looking into it. after a long wait, and email to the CEO, they now want a cheque for £10 for a SAR. So we're pretty much back to square one and have to comply with their delaying tactics. Ce la Vie!
Do they not realise that once this Terrier has hold of the object, it WON'T let go! Grrrrr!
I certainly wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of you in a dark alley:D;)
Thanks to all the competition posters.

Congratulations to all the wins. Got a letter FOS: HFC have agreed to pay, if FOS do not hear from me in 14 days they will notify HFC that I have agreed. Its a waiting game now - my claim has been ongoing since Sept 2010!:j:j
  • Thanks to Di and Trish for your responses I am not alone after all lol!!

I will e-mail the customer care as I tried telephoning on Friday but was on hold for nearly a hour.

Glad to see you agree with me Trish and as from what I am reading here most interest redress payments are higher than the premium refunds, particularly on cards that have been held for long periods! Im sick of being ripped off by lloyds and i dont want to pass over the chance to get the maxium that i am entitled to. Ive undertaken these claims with a view to getting debt free and the more I get them the sooner this will be.

Ive had a successful claim with HFC bank about two years ago and then waited for the outcome of the litigation before persuing all the others.

My husband is also reclaiming ppi from Lloyds TSB credit card (awaiting redress offer) and has had a claim on two loans from MBNA upheld for which we are expecting to be settled by the end of the month (they said within six weeks of their letter).

Would be interested to hear how they explain the mistakes they have made with Trish, doesnt inspire confidence does it?
