Has another deadline for the banks been given for resolving PPI issues since that of the end of August?

And has anyone recently had success via the FOS?

Hiya

The FSA have now given 12 weeks, think this is until the end of October.

I take it you have a complaint in with the FOS and your still waiting for a decision?
Give them a ring now and again and ask for updates they should be able to let you know how far they have got.

Fingers crossed on your reclaiming.;)

My quest for money back is as follows:

Monument Paid - £1650.00
RBS Loan Complained end of July
RBS Mortgage Protection Complained end of July
MBNA - Gone to FOS at the start of August
Santander Paid - £2250.00

Wifes
RBS - Paid £2500.00
Santander (Dorophy Perkins Card) going to FOS

It would be nice to sort a few issues out, in particular the RBS ones after some bad dealings.
Monument were really quick despite a cheaky goodwill offer at first.
Santander were brilliant, one phone call and money in my bank.

Well done all those winners, its great to see so many people getting there money back! Love it!!!!
• Hi Guys...:):) Congratulations to all winners today :j:j:j:j!!!

Just an update:
Well, i rang clydesdale this morning & spoke to Gina who stated that although i had loans dating from 1998, they could only deal with the most recent loan i had taken out which was in 2004 & paid off in 2005??

I asked why, and she stated they could only go back to 2004 :(- i asked if i could SAR it (as she didnt mention it) and she stated i could but it would then have to start as a brand new claim.......so i have asked for the address & am going to post of a SAR off tonight..Is this right ?? that they can do this - i thought if they were dealing with one loan they had to deal with them all...:(:( Please help xx

Also posted the below on the other thread as well honey, not a problem though.....:D

Hiya

Thanks for your update.

I would make them aware that as its only recently you became aware of the mis selling this is why you are taking this up now on the reclaiming.
Also tell them that the FSA wants companies to look into other previous loans as well.

Sunny, if you know for defo that you were sold PPI, then just get a reclaim in, they will still investigate, and the chances are they will come across the details of that loan.

Many have been successful in making reclaims even from the 90's, if they try fobbing you off again then tell them that too, and again tell them its 6 years from when you became aware of the mis selling.

Keep at them honey, but if you do want to request a SAR, that is totally optional, you do not have to at all, just as long as you have the loan account number that will do.
They can at least enclose you with the account numbers if you do not have these without the request of a SAR.;)

Update on MBNA

Got a phone call from a lady called Melanie this afternoon. The FOS don't have one of the offers, so MBNA have already resent it via email today for me. How bad are Natwest that they refused to do the same thing at least 6 times! MBNA have at least taken my complaint seriously, so I was very impressed with them. Because of the delay, she has asked me to let her know as soon as I send the FOS offer form back, so that I don't have to wait yet another 8 weeks, as they appreciate the delay is not my fault! Finally, she confirmed another offer of £1200 on a Virgin card, ave balance £3K, 18 months of PPI.

Hi Di,

I have done the above, just got off the phone to them - she said their bank is under no obligation to keep information past 7 years as this is their 'retention policy'. I stated i banked with them from school, however, she stated that even if i had banked with them for the previous 100 years they would only have the last 7 years info....

I again stated that this this was strange as i know all banks are taking other loans in to consideration - she said if i had the agreements (which i havent) i could send them in otherwise i could send a SAR but it doesnt promise that they will still be able to give me the info!!:(:(:( argh!!

Nothing is ever smooth, so dont know what to do....however, on the upside they have upheld the one i have on file which ran for a year (2004 - 2005) and are going to reinburse me with £600:T:T:T:T Happy Days :j:j:j

So...this may sound greedy but, how can they reimburse one loan when i know for a fact i had 3 others, all sold the same way, same circs, but they cant do anything about it..if they did, i bet i would be refunded with treble what they have offered me:(.

The lady said i had to sign a form & send it back :), if i do get anything back from the SAR which is very doubtful ( her words) i will have to start a brand new claim :(. Should i email my friend the CEO :)

Thanks guys :A:A xx

From the end of August till I think 31st December they have 12 weeks, and from 1st January 2012, they are back to 8 weeks(usually going on 18weeks!!)
This is for the banks who were involved with the Judicial Review.
Thanks to all the competition posters.

They will have the basic information of all your loans all file, they might not have the agreements, RBS didn't have any that I asked for but they gave me a list of how much, when they were taken out, if there was ppi on them and how much it was and the monthly payments, they were also able to produce a diary of communication they had when I defaulted on my mortgage with them too, funny that eh?
Clydesdale can be a bunch of dodgy !!!!!!s though, I'd send an email to David Thorburn again, and ask why it is that the ppi department aren't prepared to look at your previous loans you had with the Bank when this is direct contravention of the FSA handbook.
"Assesing complaints
3.2.7 G The firm should consider all of its sales of payment protection contracts to the
complainant in respect of re-financed loans that were rolled up into the loan
covered by the
payment protection contract that is the subject of the complaint.
The
firm should consider the cumulative financial impact on the complainant of
any previous breaches or failings in those sales."

(This is if they were rolled up) but I believe all banks are supposed to be looking at all loans that a customer have had.

Email David and copy in Gina and or Carol Craig as well
Thanks to all the competition posters.

Yeah looks like a new tactic for the Lloyds group, I was on the phone to Halifax last night and was on for over 40 minutes getting passed from pillar to post.
Thanks to all the competition posters.
