    Barclays PPI

Started claim February 2011. Received settlement figure 3rd August, sent back acceptance forms on 6th August. Sent another set of acceptance forms back on 2nd September as they lost the 1st lot.

Received payment refund today of £3,308.89 straight into my account.

Since beginning of August and this Monday I must of called them about 7 times and I emailed Bob Diamond last week (not sure if that made any difference though).

    Thanks everyone for there help.

    Iain
congratulation i also emailed robert diamond to which i got asked who is he?my acceptance form had been sent beginning of last week to be told they still hadnt recieved it:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:i actually give up now cos i just get the same answer each time
  • ok so short story-
been claing against RBS cred cards x 2
    13yrs and a 6 yrs
3mths total- sent me offer letters for both- acceptable figures etc-
called to say ok im happy send me cheuqes- BUTTTTTT
HERES THE SNAG- its around 14k total and they are insistent that as both cards are active they will only pay it off the balances-
i really dont want this to happen and told them it is against FSA AND FOS protocol and as it was a mis sold seperate product i want my money back, the out and out refused and now i have complained to fsa and fos - sent all letters documents , offer letters etc-

    so what do people think?
my main worry is that i will now lose the offers- i mean i am self employed and ppi was invalid and never made aware but i am worried somthing will go wrong and i wont get anything?
    whats the chances of that?
and do you guys think i am right to ask for cheuqes?
    will the fsa agree?
    :(:(:(:(:(:(:money::money:

As long as your cards have never had any arrears you are right to ask for it back to do with as you please, did you speak to FSA at all, I'd phone them and ask for some advice they might even phone them on your behalf to clarify. I know the FSA handbooks says that if there is arrears and it is in the contract(agreement) then they can repay arrears first.
    Hope this helps:D
Thanks to all the competition posters.
  • i have missed the odd 1 or 2 payments in the 13yrs i have had the cards but i am not physically in arrears now???

  • Hi.

Finally got through to LLoyds PPI line :j

Waste of time, was told they were still reassessing my claims and that they were not the department that could give me any more details

Just got to sit and wait, may give FOS a ring see where I stand, a month further on and they seem to be no further ahead and I am still in the dark.

You should be fine, i'd even send an email to the ceo and copy it into the customer services who you've spoken to, see what the boss has to say, absolutely shocking that they are trying to flout the rules this way.
Thanks to all the competition posters.

  • Has another deadline for the banks been given for resolving PPI issues since that of the end of August?

And has anyone recently had success via the FOS?
