Hiya
Some ideas of who is who for you lol.:D;) Yes it can be confusing but no worries.
The FSA (Financial Services Association) are the regulators, more details below, they regulate financial businesses, but only came into force in Jan 2005.
The FLA is the Financial leasing Association, so if your account wasn't covered by the FSA, then you can try the FLA, although the FLA is not always that helpful.
If this fails, contact the Financial Services Ombudsman (FOS), who may then suggest the underwriter/insurer avenue instead.

Just been on the phone to Barclays as it was now nearly 18 weeks.
Anyway, happens that they sent a letter to me on 31 August (coincidentally exactly when the 16 weeks was up) that never appeared in my letterbox!
Anyway, I'm due £2292.42 within 40 days from 31 August. New letter with full details is on its way out to me! Paying out on 3 loans from 2003, 2007 and 2010.
BOOM!
Oh and thanks for the advice from everyone on here.
Well done on your success!
Hope you receive all your refunds very soon, fingers crossed.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
can i just clarify something
I have sent back my offer letter for just under £5k to HSBC now this loan was paid off over 6 yrs ago but we owe them money and 2 accounts have gone to their collections dept(metropolitan) on the form they sent it just asked for the bank details where we wanted the money paid to no mention of paying metropolitan first and sending us the rest
I need to point out we are paying our debts with CCCS but DD1 is off to uni end of the month and this would pay her accommadation bill for the 1st year and this would help no end
So any ideas wil i get the cash:j or will it go to metropolitan first then if anything is left to me
either way not too bothered but just like to know
Thank you0 -

I will post my offer up here when I receive it so the experts can look over it.

Thanks
Hiya
I assume you would already have details of the main contacts as below, but the CEO will be useful as well, good luck.
http://www.halifax.co.uk/contactus/howtocomplain/complain-about-ppi/
They are the same as the lloyds CEO, and the site will no longer allow these details by email to come up now, they look like this....
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So the best way round this is here.;) Good luck.

I had the same - initially, Santander were very helpful. I then called to chase it up 2 weeks later, to be told that they had sent my complaint to MBNA, who had already told me to contact Santander. After going round in circles for a week, I eventually started to get correspondence from MBNA regarding another complaint, that we eventually worked out to be the A&L card. I called them up, explained the situation, and someone with some sense emailed Santander for me, who made an offer week before last on the card. I didn't argue about amounts, as I had the same problem as you. Call the A&L/Santander PPI number (will post it tomorrow), and you may get some help.0
