Well some good news today after 2 hours on hold to lloyds!!!! my friend found out they have had there claim upheld on the 3 credit cards he was claiming on, worried he stated the should have been 4, they then said oh yes dont wory we'll do that one as well. Appartently they sent a letter 2 weeks ago but amazingly its never appeared.... however hes quite chuffed in knowing it getting sorted.

Mine is still with hsbc, calling every day to see of any updates but keep being told nothing, its now bin with claim handler in manchester for 3 weeks! One week and 2 days till my 16 week deadline..... just want the official yes we told u a load of rubbish have your pennies back!! Is it still the theory that the longer it goes on the likelyhood is it will be upheld?

Big thanks again to all the helpers out there, love and obsessed with this forum :A

Well done!

In my opinion, I think if any rejections, they would be at an earlier stage, good luck.

MBNA- No sign of the letter or any cheque- and they have gone silent on the e-mails as well

Co-Op- Change of communications AGAIN now seems that no letter has been sent, no details are present and they are extending everyone of there outstanding PPI complaints by 12 weeks!!!! Really getting annoyed at them know- so much for there 'mythical' great customer service

Welcome and RBS same as before

Going to have to ring MBNA and Co-Op again tomorrow

Try contacting the CEO, good luck, fingers crossed.;)

• I have two different claims against Egg. One a loan and one CC. The CC was rejected after less than a fortnight. I have asked them to reconsider by email and they have reopened my case for this one but with the loan i have had no info what so ever. Is there anything in what people say that the longer it goes on the more likely of success? I also have a couple out with HBOS for CC and preference account and i have heard nothing yet. Been only 4 weeks but feels like ever. Good luck to all

Hi there

Wishing you luck on your reclaiming.;)

Glad you asked them to reconsider, fingers crossed.

Have you received any sort of confirmation letter of the loan ppi reclaim, to say they've received it?
Contact them to double check, and the FSA have given the main of the banks/companies more time to deal with the backlogs, good luck.:)

• Hi, I've been reading this thread for a while now and it's encouraging to see the many successes. I wrote to Lloyds TSB at the beginning of June this year and have just received a reply rejecting my claim. I was sure it would be upheld. I explained that it was strongly suggested i wouldn't get the loan without PPI and also the lending rate would be a lot higher if we refused it. I remember at the meeting telling them I'd found alternative insurance far cheaper. They rejected the claim because they say they acted fairly towards us and that the cover was suitable for our needs. I'm not sure what to do next, to write to them again or forward it to the FOS. I'd be grateful for any help, thank you.

Hi Di,
I phoned them and they have reopened my claim. I just dont understand why they can reply within two weeks for CC but loan one i havent heard a thing except for confirmation letter at the beginning. The letter did say that it was a final decision but that seems not to be the case. The HBOS ones i have heard nothing except the initial letter saying 12/16 weeks etc

Hiya

I assume you would already have details of the main contacts as below, but the CEO will be useful as well, good luck.
http://www.halifax.co.uk/contactus/howtocomplain/complain-about-ppi/

They are the same as the lloyds CEO, and the site will no longer allow these details by email to come up now, they look like this....
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So the best way round this is here.;) Good luck.

• Morning Everyone

It's great seeing lots of success!

It's been a week since MBNA asked for an extra 7 days to look again at my rejected complaint and guess what, they've just asked for another 7!

Something makes me think, that this time next week they'll be asking for another 7 :rotfl:
Nationwide Loan - Success - £2,596.24 - 8 weeks Egg CC - Success - £99.51 - 2 weeks Lloyds CC - Success - £1,151.27 - 16 weeks & 2 days
Lloyds Loan - Success - £186.17 -Waiting for payment Virgin CC - Rejected - but 23 days into re-opened complaint - update overdue
