Hi How do you find out your account numbers from Capital One?. I have paid off my account and the account is closed but I can't find my account number as I had PPI cover on it.
Thanks
Hi
We had no record of any account/policy numbers
We just sent a letter asking them to forward copies of the original agreement(s), including PPI details. Include a cheque for £1.00.
Send to
Executive Office
Capital One
PO Box5281
Nottingham
NG2 3FA
They sent us back all the paperwork we needed we then filled in the claim form (available on this site) and are now jus playing the waiting game:(
Good luck with your claim.

Wow - I can't believe it!
I got a letter this week from Virgin/MBNA upholding my claim for PPI. I received an £875 refund of my premiums paid, plus £205 in interest, giving a total of £1081! They put it back into my Virgin account, rather than give me a cheque, which is fine by me.
Can't stress enough how great Martin's templates are - I did this all myself using his templates, when I know I would have had to pay approx 30% of whatever I won back, had I used a claims firm.
Here are the details:
Have had a Virgin Credit Card since applying online in July 2009, never asked for Lifestyle Protect, but was added on anyway.
Filled in the questionnaire after readinng about it on Martin's website, sent it off at the start of July this year, got a letter back very quickly, acknowledging receipt of my letter, and informinng me they were investigating my claim.
Received another letter a few weeks later, explaining they were still investigating this, then received a letter dated 1st September, informing me my claim was being upheld and I was getting back £1081!
Whole process from start to finish took approx. 8 weeks, and I am now £1081 better off. Thank you, Martin!0 -

Hi,
Just a quick question regarding the tax payable on interest element of ppi reclaim, just wondering whether those of us who are self employed include it in january 2012 self assessment which is for the tax year ending april 2011 or am I right in thinking it should be included in January 2013 tax assessment which covers april 2011-april 2012.
Thanks for any help and congrats to anyone who has had recent successes.:j0 -
