  • Just letting you know of a hiccup I've had with my Barclays claim. I submitted a claim in June this year and sent in the FOS form as requested recorded delivery. This week I've had a letter from them asking me to fill in the enclosed FOS form to assist their investigation. Just spoke to someone in their complaints team who confirmed that they don't have it on their system so it must have gone astray despite me having proof that they received it. I have to send it again but they did confirm that it won't affect how quickly they deal with my complaint as its still in a queue.

My original plan was to just sit patiently and wait until the mid October deadline but in view of this I think I may need to keep chasing them just to make sure they're dealing with it.
  • Hi All...and great news for all the winners on the forum....!!!

Nice large sums being paid out....enjoy!!!

With regards to complaints sent to fos...and those who have spoken with the adjudicator...what sort of timeline have you experienced before hearing from them?

I spoke with the adjudicator looking at my claim 5 weeks ago...and still nothing?

    Thanks, Citibird x
  • I have received my NOT upheld letter today

Basically it says after reviewing the sales call they are happy with the way it was sold and we were told it was optional. The fact that it only covers the first five years was explained and we agreed. Then was told to check the paper work.

The policy will remain in force.

    Any help please guy :D

No mention of single premium either

I called them up as we are in a similar situation with the repayment reward and the lady said that we would receive the 25% when the loan was originally due to finish ie. July 2012, apparently they have a spreadsheet of everyone who this applies to and they will be paid accordingly on their original completion dates. She very clear that we wouldn't be disadvantaged by them paying off the balance.

I also asked about receiving the full amount as cash instead of using some of it to pay off the balance. She said that we were welcome to do that but they would need to restructure the loan to take off the future PPI repayments and were unable to guarantee the same interest rate as we have currently.

    Hth

I called them also said the same thing however i asked for a letter to state that i would still get the repayment reward and they said i would need to speak to the loan dept to get that, phoned the loan department and they said they shouldnt be saying that and said if it was paid off early i will still loose my repayment reward im waiting for the lady to call me back as to what they are going to do ive asked for a letter to say that i will still get it! wait and see ill kepp you posted lindsay
  • Hi How do you find out your account numbers from Capital One?. I have paid off my account and the account is closed but I can't find my account number as I had PPI cover on it.
    Thanks
  • HSBC Sucess! here`s the breakdown

    Loan 1

    PPI Redress £238.87
    Intrest at 8% £70.97
    Offer £309.84

    Loan 2

    PPI Redress £3236.41
    Interest at 8% £582.15
    Offer £3818.56

    TOTAL £4,128.40

Still awaiting a call on my repayment reward of £1045.80 once the loan was complete also if not i will be rejecting this offer however i still chuffed to bits didnt expect that much! I urge people to keep trying and if you don`t get anywhere go to the FOS!

Has anybody out there suceeded with Egg via FOS after initial rejection?

According to figures just out from FOS, 58% were upheld in the first half of this year. So it is by no means a foregone conclusion but Egg has lost more than it has won.
