  • I pleased to say my that my battle is practically over! Hsbc today confirmed that my 6 loans with them, the ppi complaint has been upheld. Just have to wait for my acceptance letters for the loans and credit cards, they upheld them 3 weeks, to come through.

So out of my 13 complaints, 13 have been upheld :)

Very well done - that is awesome!!!

Just watch out that they (HSBC) dont try and short change you as they did with me.
Their first offer was £5K in the end I accepted £24K.

  • Wow that's a huge difference matty, can't believe they offered so little in the first place.

I will definitely make sure I don't get short changed.

Congrats on your win and everyone elses. Don't give up the fight :)
  • Hi Guys

I am after some help with working out if the offer we have received sounds reasonable.

We took a loan out in September 2005 from Loans.co.uk - for £15000 - with a PPI policy of £4050, over 10 years - so we still have an outstanding balance on the loan. The interest rate is 11.86%

We have received an offer today of the PPI premium of £4050, interest on premium of £2412.40, and 8% interest of £871.74 - so a total of £7334.14.

Whilst I am over the moon with the offer - the 8% interest seems a little on the low side to me - I had worked this out on the premium alone at 0.89pence per day from the 1st September 2005.

Can anyone give me any advice on whether or not my calculations are right or not.

    Thanks in advance

Hi, little miss impatient here. I lodged a complaint with M&S MOney in May 2011 and the 16week period has now elapsed, I've heard nothing. Sent a reminder earlier this week. Anybody else waiting/heard anything? thanks, :)

mines been with them since the beginning of June, I call them every week to check its progress, don't know if it does any good or not but I will keep ringing until they look at my complaint.
  • hi guys well good news regards the whole santander cockup after my email to the ceo i was put on to a different claims person and they sorted it all out in 1 day she sent it recorded delivery and ive put it in the back today.

  • Dear All, been looking for anyone to get anything from Barclays??

I've posted before about how slack and avoiding they are well theyve clearly been stringin everyone along. Despite being the first to say they were not going to contest anyone who submitted before the court result in April, and saying they were not going to quibble, theyve passed the deadline of 31st August and are struggling!

I urge everyone that is waiting to not to waste time contacting Barclays I've had my fill off weekly, to bi Monthly to monthly over the last 9 months of "left hand right hand" fobbing off info.

I left it in the hands of a Local Personal banker who after one phone call was more frustrated than me. A week later he's even more frustrated and urged me to make a complaint by pass Barclays and straight to the Ombudsman, Barclays need to get a whacking fine or a kick up the butt!

I was told a letter went out on the 28th August then tols it hadn't then that they were calculating the ture figures, this was on the 31st August. Next day called back spoke to someone "A manager" in the same office who managed to access letter confirm it had gone out and that the PPI was paod back in 2006 into an account (only divulging the last 4 digits) an account I have no knowledge of!. Plus am only owed 8% goodwill of £24, doesnt even cover the 25 plus calls on an premium no. from my mobile always which always takes me 35 minutes despite going through the telephone system specific set up for PPI claims!!?? then being asked what is my claim, plus further security, then passed on to the PPI apparent claims team!! Barclays are obviously trying to recoup their PPI payouts via telephone premium lines!! :)

Funny thing is despite being told PPI was paid back nto an account i have no idea about, there still taking the PPI out on my payments??, I've along stament from 2006 to present shoping the monthly payments which in total includes the PPI payment, whats the phrase robbing Peter to pay Paul??

Here comes my next big complaint to Ombudsman on how this has all been handled, not received one call back or letter from putting in the complaint in December 2010!! Despite emails, calls etc

Dont believe customer services!! Good luck to everyone!

    Peace:)

    Hi all

After a very long time, I have just checked my account and nearly spat out my coffee - they have finally paid me £12,305 !!

    Original claim - Feb 2011
Offer letter - 3rd August (orange sticker on envelope)
Acceptance letter received by them - 9th August
1st call to them - 15th August (payment 4-5 working days)
2nd call to them - 24th August (payment within 28 days)
3rd call to them - 2nd September (payment within 4-8 weeks)

Very annoyed with inconsistent information so emailed Bob Diamond (CEO) and got a response from the Directors office at Teeside on Monday "due to high demand they couldnt tell me when it will be paid". Not impressed, so fired off a response about the poor customer service they are giving customers, inconsistent information, promised call backs never made, etc. Got a response on Tuesday advising me that my acceptance form had been actioned and payment would be made within the 4 working days.

On holiday this week and have been going through old paperwork and have found some old statements from my MBNA CC which shows PPI payments - this card goes back to 2002 or 2003. Anyone think its worth claiming?

I really hope that any people waiting for decisions or payments hear very soon and I totally understand the frustration and anger that this whole matter is causing.

    Good luck everyone

    Hi there,

Sorry you have had to wait...it has been my experience that M&S wait until the last minute and then some.

Also, when sending information on what loans etc I had taken out in the past, they conveniently seemed to "forget" about them.

So, maybe one to watch? Might be worth a call ?

    Good luck, fingers crossed,:)
