Great news and congratulations to everyone who has successfully managed to reclaim their PPI premiums.
I have had another upheld which I'm really happy about but I just wish that they would give the calculations in the initial letter rather than asking to sign an acceptance and then being sent calculations. Just seems an unneccessary delay.0 -
I had an offer from Santander today for £810 Ppi premiums and £780 interest. Because the old Abbey card transferred to MBNA in 2001, they say that they don't have any details and are averaging this out. The card ran for 4 years with an average balance of around £1800. They have offered to investigate the further if I can prOvide proof of premiums, but i don't have statements from so long ago. Any advice or just accept it? MBNA are working On the claim from the time they took the card over. Thanks
If the card balance was £1800, a total of almost £1600 sounds pretty good!
Without the statements you wouldnt really get very far - I'd be inclined to accept the offer

Congratulations to all who have got their PPI back!

All Halifax/HBOS acceptance forms signed and sent special delivery. :T:beer::j:D
Now the redress from the loans will be paid directly into my Halifax bank account and the Credit Cards funds will be paid via a cheque.
Can I just ask how long it has taken refunds to be made to people after they have sent the acceptance forms back to Halifax?
For both Loans and Credit cards. (ie both directly into accounts and cheques in the post)
Just want to know roughly how long it will take.
Cheers

I have been waiting since July 2010 for my claim to be dealt with. I dont think there seems to be any sort of organisation at all in how they are dealing with claims - I can't wait to close my account!!0 -

Hi,
the FOS allow them up to 8 weeks to process payment, so I'd expect about 7 weeks and 6 days!

Phoned Lloydstsb last night, My claim has been upheld and a letter was sent out 20th aug (The dsame date as others0 but like others ive no letter so they are sending another one out, but al very longwinded, Claim put in May, 16 weeks later they say its been upheld but i need to sign form , send back and they will now work out how much im due which can take 21 days, Very longwinded
They do hold on to it for ages dont they? they have to make some money back though,so they will keep this ppi money they have set aside as long as they can so they can get a nice bit of interest on it.
I dont think they have put it in the safe :rotfl::rotfl:do you?.0 -
