Hi, I want to apply to my credit card company for a copy of the terms and conditions to see if I have been paying PPi (can't see mention of it on my bills). It is a Virgin Credit Card, which is issued by MBNA, so do I write to Virgin or MBNA?
thanks and thanks for your encouraging replies to my last post!0 -

How long have you had this card?.
Sometimes ppi is not on at the start of the agreement, this is usually SOLD to you when you activate the card.0 -
Hello, I've followed this thread for a while but never posted before!
I had two PPI claims in with Bank of Scotland - they sent me a letter saying they'd give me £1400 for the first loan and adjust the second which is still running so my monthly payments were less. I was fine with this - expected them to deduct from the current loan rather than send me money. This letter said this was the end of the matter and to consider it closed.
However, I have had a letter today in regard to the 2nd loan saying to expect a check for £600+??? Is this a mistake? Do they mean they took £600 off my loan balance and then re-calculated the monthly amount (I've checked and its gone from £211 to £175)? Or will I get money as well? I'm not complaining lol if they send me more money but I don't want them asking for it back or whatever if its a mistake?
Anyone have any idea what's going on please? The 2nd loan settled the 1st one if this is of any relevance. Hope you can help0 -
Hi there, usually if you have ppi on a cc it will show on each monthly statement.

Hi, perhaps I don't have PPI on the card then. I have had the card for 3-4 years. I have just had my loan payout, maybe I'm just getting over-excited wondering what else I can claim on! I had two old credit cards, the accounts of which I have closed now, with Mint and Barclaycard, but my credit report only shows the last 4 digits and I feel if I phone them up they may not give the information I want - full account numbers and whether I paid PPI - if they know why I want the information. Does anyone have any advice?
I noticed on my fiance's current credit card bill (MBNA) he is being charged PPI at around £40 a month!
Is it reasonable to give a reason for mis-sell as being (a) led to believe it was compulsory at the time and that without it you felt you would not get the credit you wanted, and (b) not being advised that PPI could be bought much much cheaper on line from independent companies?
thanks

Just a quickie to say thank you for all the fab advice on this board. I received a letter from Halifax on Saturday saying they were upholding my PPI claim on both my loan and CC.
I put the claim in mid May and was due a response by beginning of September.
I haven't got figures yet, but have signed the acceptance and sent it back. The letter says once they receive the accpetance they will write again with figures and let me know when they will pay out.
So thanks again....you are all stars! :T:T:T0 -
New user.
Well done to everyone today. I am new to this and feel that I will be requiring lots of help from all you specialists out there. I have started the process and requested my agreements details for 2 Loans From the Dreaded Lloyds TSB. The first one has my signature on the loan PPI but the ticks in the boxes are computer generated. Would this matter as they never explained to me that the Insurance was optional or that I could get insurance elsewhere. I stupidly assumed it was the norm.
The second one again with Lloyds is a bit strange as they have sent me a blank agreement form and stated
'There is no requirement under the CCA to provide you with a copy of your signed agreement but please be assured we would not have advanced a loan without having sight of a signed agreement.'
Again on this one no one explained to me about PPI and being a bit poor with money issues thought that it wasnt an option.
One last question. Ages ago I stupidly took out an agreement with with YES CAR CREDIT, or better known as Direct Auto Finance. Because this was so long ago, and before they were regulated, i was wondering if this is a lost cause as i have searched everywhere on the forums and the internet and can't find anyone with anyjoy. (apologies in advance if I have posted this in the wrong bit).
Thanks

Hi ML11, please see my post #16911 on page 846.
(I haven't read past this post so if you've already sorted something, ignore me).
I claimed back from Lloyds TSB and my agreement was the same. It took me 7 months and a few letters to sort it and the money they have agreed should hit my Bank Account tomorrow. If you see this and you need to get access to a copy of your Loan Agreement, here's the address I got mine from :
LLoyds TSB
PLSC
PO Box 43
Peterlee
Co. Durham
SR8 2YQ
I had to enclose a chq for £1.00 made out to Lloyds TSB and every letter I sent them was sent Recorded Delivery, no denying receipt of anything then.....
Good luck...:D0 -

This £600 could be what you are owed from the ppi on the 2nd loan from the 1st loan, less the rebate when you settled.
Thats what it looks like to me,you should get this and the £1400.
If i am wrong someone will correct me0 -
