Sunny, was it some with initials CC who emailed you back?
IT was smitchy, Carol Craig. Take it she was the one who emailed you..i only complained about 2 weeks ago so i have a long wait i would say but it's just courtesy that they should reply isnt it
Good luck with yours & your oh :)xx0 -
I received a letter out of the blue at the start of August from the Clydesdale Bank saying they had been "reviewing the position regarding your borrowing and have concluded that this insurance was not suitable for you". This was without having submitted any claims ! I rang them to ask them about it and they stated that I would hear within 8 weeks as they only had 8 weeks in which to respond and that they were unable to tell me which loans were being investigated or why it had been deemed "not suitable" for me !
Has anyone else received a letter from their bank without having made any claims ?

If you allow them the full 16 weeks you'd be due a decision by the 7th September, however, YB and CB weren't part of the Judicial Review so haven't been given the 16 weeks, we've had a loan ppi complaint in with them for just over 12 weeks and after we hadn't heard anything I sent an email to an email address I had for them, and also copied in the ceo.
AQU.PPI@eu.nabgroup.com
and Ceo is
david.thorburn@eu.nabgroup.com
I would send them a nice email quoting your reference number, no other details, and just say that you are disappointed that you have not heard anything from them since your claim went, in and that although you know you are entitiled to go to the FOS to complain about their service, you are aware that there is financial penalties against the bank should you do this, but that you don't want to do that at this time. I did this I got the usual crappy reply from the aqu.ppi address, but got contacted by a senior manager about 12 hours later from the ceo's email that had been sent, the following day my OH(in her name) got a call to say that an offer would be in the post in the next few days, this was only last week so we're giving till the end of this week and if nothing received we'll email the manager back.
Just for info their mail seems to take about 6/7 days to receive from the date that is dated by them.
Hope this helps, and remember to keep us posted on how you get on.:D
Thanks for that we will try another email tonight and see what response we get , it does sound like they are just dragging it out and just bothering with the ones that shout the loudest! Well we will try and see what happens THANKS i really appreciate you taking the time to reply cheers Dave0 -
