Hi.
They did not really give a reason, just said had been looked into and they said I had no complaint to be answered.
But just phoned customer services and apparently it is being looked at again after my email to ceo,but was also told by a nice man called David that LLoyds did cover self employed people.
Who to believe ?
He said I should hear back from them today, will keep all informed.
Mark
Yes but ask them under what circumstances of unemployment would they pay out to self employed people my understanding is your company has to cease to trade which is not applicable to many self employed people ask lloyds to determine the self employed unemployment cover, the way I have read many sites on Internet unemployment would not be covered good luck and keep us posted0 -
Hi klfosser,
Not much hope for me then as they received my acceptance form on 2 August. Now have doubts about the 28 days timescale. Hoping its different for loans. Congratulation on your win. Credit to the MSE team!:j
Hi,
people need to get this "28 days" thing out of their heads
In all current letters FOS are quoting that they allow 8 weeks for the banks to calculate amounts and send the cheque - this is obviously the time limit banks are working to in general (with a few nice exceptions, cuh as Sanatander (A+L, Abbey) Loans)-
Congratulations to all who have got their PPI back!

To be fair to them they refunded my loan PPI direct to my bank within a couple of weeks - perhaps 3, but certainly far quicker than the credit card.
Hope you get yours soon. It's great though when you know it will be coming whenever that may be. Well done.0 -
shop direct rejected my empire catalogue  and in the same letter taking £700 off my debt with additions :j with them balance left should be about £120.:j
as shop direct took over from redcats 2006 i went straight to redcats for the previous years ppi they rejected immediately so i contacted the fos. Letter from them today i need the underwriter for the policy in 2002 and then send papers back to them to deal. (so... so far it does look promising)
letter from barclay card (i have 3 with them) on 1 of the accounts - they are still investigating and i should get a letter 14/09/11 with a further update
bhs store card limit of £250.00 ive managed to get £9.42 back :j:j cheq will follow in 7/10 workin days.
so to every one and my self well done today.
cant wait to get the £9.42 gonna splash out :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Got my responce from OPUS (card was CITI) today, £4222. PPI Paid + Card Interest + 8%. its around what i worked out for 6 Years, guess they wont go back any further than that unless i can prove i was paying PPI, which i was, but cant prove it, Great news as only have a balance of £15 on the card!
RBS have upheld my clame from my Mint card, awaiting amount, but i think it should be around the same as above. Lloyds have also upheld £700 for a loan i had a few years ago, just waiting for them to pay.
Also had 2000 back from Northen Rock the end of last year.
Good luck everyone, hope you are all as sucessful.

Hi Tifosi,
Don't you think if we share the outcome of our 28 day promises it will help expose the lies that the banks tell. I am interested in hearing from those who were told money will be in their accounts in 28 working days. I am one of them and will be telling the forum whether the bank stuck to their word or not! Watch the space!0
