Hi
Thanks, I will ge her to do it asap.
When I rang them on heer behalf, they did say her other half had supplied a wage slip tp prove his form of income, but he was self employed at the time. I asked him the date on the wage slip as this wasnt possible and he said 'sorry but I cannot read it'.
Probably never had one in my opinion!
Cheers

Hmm makes you think doesn't it?
Good luck with this and I will keep my fingers crossed that there will be some useful information within the SAR to fall back on, let us know when you hear and we shall move on to the next step.;) :A xxxThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
After reading the articles on PPI I used the template letter to claim my PPI back on my Northern Rock loan however they replied saying it was not mis-sold and if I was not happy with their decision take to the FOS because there decision was final.
So that’s what I did…. contact FOS and when they got involved the Northern Rock soon changed their mind.
I have received a letter dated 17 December 2008 from the Northern Rock to say they have reviewed my complaint and refute I was mis-sold PPI. However to reach an amicable resolution they are refunding the premiums plus 8% on the premiums that have been paid. They are also removing the PPI and have recalculated the loan as if the PPI was not taken with the loan.
This total refund is £677.12 plus £71.96 interest = £749.08.
So don’t be put off if the company refuse and take it to the next level.
Thanks Martin0 -
What a nice xmas present! Believe it - you can get it back! all of it!!
If I hadn't have seen this website, there is no way I would have even thought of claiming, and Id still be paying now. This is Money I should have never paid in the first place.
Got a letter on Dec 20th to say that HSBC are upholding my claim and are paying out £9,044.31.
Sent the original letter 8 weeks ago, had 1st letter to say please give us 4 weeks to investigate, then another to say please wait another 4 weeks, then got the offer after just 8 weeks.
The amount applies to 2 PPI policies against personal loans.
Policy 1
Premiums paid 474.50
Plus Interest 10.96
Plus refund for early settlement 549.46
Plus interest and 8% since date of loan repayment 420.71
Total Offer £1,455.63
Policy 2
Premiums paid 4,502.27
Plus interest 840.73
Plus refund for early settlement 2,052.91
Plus interest of 8% since date of loan repayment 192.77
Offer 7,599.68
Total £9,044.31
Thanks to the advice and letter templates of this site!!!!:T :T0 -
Hello all,
Am I right in thinking that at some point I saw a post on this site with a link to an article confirming that PPI for credit cards can not be sold to someone who is on a 2 year work visa as they are not entitled to state benefits?
Also just to let everyone know I have reclaimed back all money paid for PPI plus interest and statutory interest from Halifax loan and credit card, waiting for a response from Goldfish (now Barclays - they are very very slow), got an offer from Lloyds TSB loan for hubbie but querying this as they do not give exact figure just state premiums paid plus interest. Still waiting on Lloyds credit card for hubbie they want so so much info (luckily he has it all!)0 -

Hi hun
I do not know for definate the answer to the first part regarding the state bens side, although I was sold PPI along with a credit card for LLoyds TSB in 2001 while not working, classed an an homemaker and only claiming the childrens benefits.
This is with the FOS right now, was with the adjudicator but because lloyds do not agree with upholding this complaint the adjudicator has moved this on to the ombudsman himself to give his view on this.
Good luck and hope the offer is a good one.;)

Hi All Another success with Egg & their single premium PPI.
Took out Egg loan 2002 now repaid but looking @ paperwork found £750 for a PPI added to loan. This would not have been taken as a) we were both in jobs that covered full pay for 1 year min b) we would not have been abl to claim as we had recent illness/new job so ..sent letter asking for refund + interest. Had ack from Egg then nothing until Thursday when chq for £1200 arrived. Letter with it "looked at complaint and enc our chq"
Keep on trying & don't give up0 -

Thanks for that. Lloyds are a strange bunch they have agreed mis-selling due to hubbie being on 2 year work visa for the PPI he took with a loan but not with the credit card as yet. I find this very very strange. Have spoken to Marshallka on PPI reclaiming forum re this too so thanks for everyone's help0 -

Hiya hun,
Good luck with this then.;)
So this was directly with HFC then?
Mine lender was Endeavour on one of them and the broker Click Finance who dissolved while continuing with his other Click businesses, but I do have some underwriting paperwork here with HFC and they are not taking any responsibility with mine unfortunately, although the FOS will be looking into this by investigating who to pursue this with.
Let us know when you hear hun, thanks and I hope you get all your PPI back.
All the best and fingers crossed.:A
