julieprit2 wrote: »Well I called Paragon this morning to find out some more details on my loan.
It was front loaded PPI of £388.75 on an £8000 loan. Could someone work out what they would owe me if I'm successfull?
Loan £8000
Started 4/3/98 for 3 years
Interest 19.968%
Total PPI £388.75 front loaded.
Does the fact that it was front loaded help me in any way?
Thanks guys
Just a further query on the above also - I thought the amount of PPI seemed very low - does anyone else think that? Am trying to find a calculator online to work out how much I am due but all seem to be linked to claims companies and wanting my telephone number!! No thanks! :rotfl:
Any help appreciated - sorry for sooooo many questions0 -

They said it was a one off payment added at the beginning of the loan???? Do you think they are telling porky pies? :rotfl:
I have heard people mention front loaded on here but not really sure what it means.0 -

yes front loaded means they add the ppi amount into your loaned amount and charge you interest on the whole amount, which is a huge No No!
the ppi amount is normally about 20% of amount borrowed so a guess it would have been £1600 or around that
not the best at figures but id ring them and ask:D:p Perfer et obdurai dolor hic tibi proderit olim

I put in my MBNA claim in September 2010.
I had the PPI running for about a year or just over on the 5th August (A YEAR LATER) received a refund on to my credit card of £740.
I have not yet received a letter so I do not know how the breakdown has been calculated.0 -

Can I ask when you took your loan out? Problem is, I took my out with Paragon directly and don't recall using a broker etc.
Hi, yes we took our loan out in 2004.0 -
I had a phone call from Barclays Customer Care this morning in response to my email to their CEO that I sent yesterday. They guy was very nice, said that they had put their hands up and they were the first bank to do so. My claim was being dealt with but to be patient with them, they were getting through all claims and wait is 2 -3 months. I had a letter from them saying they would respond by 3rd October so just keep waiting I guess. I don't think my email hurt matters and at least they responded to me quickly.0

Hello
Do you have the address please of the CEO as my claim has been with Barclays since September 2010.
Thanks0 -
Ok Called Paragon again.
So my loan wasn't for £8000Duh. Girl actually recognised my voice I have spoken to her so much since yesterday :rotfl:
So details are as follows:
Loan £4071.91
PPI front loaded £388.75
Interest 19.968%
4.3.1998 for 3 years
So anyone any ideas how I would work out how much I am owed from this??0 -
Well my nice email to the CEO and customer care got me a reply, A rather long one about that they have 16 weeks from point of call etc, may take longer as they want to ensure IF any payment is amde is right etc.
Has anyone had a successful Lllyds Credit card PPI claim ?
I put mine in in May so upto week 13 i belive now and still nothing, they do string it out.
Whats the lead time people are seeing with Lloyds ?0
