Hello
Do you have the address please of the CEO as my claim has been with Barclays since September 2010.
Thanks
See below, they will probably quote 31st August to you if you have been waiting that along and your claim was one of those on hold.

Hi I had a Barclays business loan in 2007 for £5000 which was paid in full in 8 months, paying £260 pcm for the loan.
I have just found out I was charged PPI which I didn't ask for.
Barclays have lodged my complaint and will be sending me out the reclaim paperwork, the PPI wouldn't have covered me if I needed it anyway.
Does anyone have any idea how much I could have returned to me?
Thanks in advance.Mortgage Feb 2015 £178,500 END 2043!!
MFW 2015 £100 /£1000
Watch this space, my MF end date will tumble!!0 -
Oh my gosh
, I called Firstplus yesterday, as my date is up next week, that they have given me and of course I had heard nothing. The call centre staff told me that my final response could go beyond the 16 week limit, alarmed by this I emailed Mr Bob Diamond. I had a phonecall from his office this morning. The lady who called me told me they have to respond to me by the 13th Sept and they are not allowed to go passed the 16 week rule and she would be making sure no call staff would quote that to someone again.
I was also told she would be personally keeping an eye on my case and she gave me her no and said if I have any problems with Firstplus to contact her directly and she will sort it out and she will be keeping a close eye on my case. :T:rotfl:
Thank you for posting this NN!
I have been looking out for you posting on here as I think I we sent in our claims to First Plus around the same time, and I was given a date of 8th august. So last month I emailed them for an update and received a letter putting my date back to the 12th.
I was desperately waiting for the postman today as we go away for a fortnight tomorrow and it will be at the back of my mind all the time. I'm not sure how the offers work and if you have a certain time to accept or not - so was scared in case I miss out
Good luck with yours and fingers crossed it will all be sorted for Xmas!!!:D0 -

:j:j:j BarclayCard have made me an offer:j:j:j
After weeks and week of getting in from work to inspect the post, I have finally had an offer from Barclays!!
It is nowhere near as much as some claims on here, but since it was my money anyway, I am glad to be getting it back.
PPI was on my card from July 2008 until August 2010 when it was cancelled. They have offered the following:
Refund of PPI : 479.38
Refund of interest charged: 26.39
8% simple interest per annum: 34.96
Total Refund: 540.73
Do these figures look right? Just wanted to check before I accept the offer.0 -
Well, well, well.....
I received a letter from a Senior Customer Relationship Manager at Barclaycard today regarding the email I sent the CEO on 29th July. I emailed him because I was making a complaint about the way I had been treated by barclaycard. For instance, it took me 4 letters and 4 months to receive a (very bad) photocopy of my credit card agreement. I had also chased it up with a phonecall and was told I didn't have PPI but when I finally received the credit card agreement you could just about see that I did have PPI! I also went on about Barclaycard addressing me by my middle name which I found quite annoying!
So the letter is 2 and a half pages long. The lady is continuously apologising for the way i've been treated and has stated "In light of the annoyance and inconvenience you have been caused, I would be pleased to arrange for a credit of £50.00 to be made to your bank account"! :T
And she went on......
"I have made arrangements for your Payment Protection Claim to be dealt with urgently and you will receive a letter from the relevant department in response to this claim very shortly"!
Not bad considering all it cost me was an email and my complaint wasn't due to be dealt with until 20th September! :j
Looks like it will be sooner than that now0 -
Hi, I know this is probably not the correct forum to post this on but can anyone direct me where to post it?
I have just been contacted via phone from Lifestyle financial about a mortgage we took out through Mortgage Matters 10 years ago and remortgage 4 years ago advising that we were charged too much broker fees and inflated interest rate from Northern Rock. They wanted me to pay £499 over the phone as a deposit that would be refunded back to me once the case was paid out or if the case could not be completed. I've not proceeded with this for 2 reasons, 1. I don't have £499 and 2. I don't trust them!! Anyone else had the same thing? If these type of companies are saying we paid too much on broker fees etc is there a way we can reclaim this back ourselves rather than going through Lifestyle financial??

Well done on getting an offer.
May I ask when you put your claim in? Was it one of the "no quibble" refunds? Mine has been with them since the beginning of the year. Hoping to hear soon!0 -

My claim has been with them since November last year! Apparently they are trying to do things in date order so you should hear soon.
The wording of the offer is 'to settle my complaint as a gesture of goodwill without any admission of liabilty'.
My options are to accept it or go to FOS, it is worded as a final decision.
To be honest, I was only expecting around two hundred and fifty so I am delighted with this. Have had a zero balance on this card since the beginning of the year because they screwed me by dropping my credit limit by 7k without telling me, only kept the account open until this was paid.
Hope you hear something soon.0 -
Hi,
i have been contacting them every week for the last month chasing them, cant speak to anyone ref PPI as apparently its a 3rd party company dealing with it, and just keep getting quoted 31st August.
I did however get a letter from them the other day stating that my account would be moved to "Progressive Credit Limited" on the 31st of August.
That worries me slightly as thats the date they are supposed to settle my PPI, the card only has £20 on it and i havent used it for a long while, i have only left it open because of the PPI clame.
I hope that because of this move they dont start being even more of a pain with the PPI, i am tempted to close off the account before the 31st so it will end with OPUS and i dont get mucked about.
What do you guys think ?
Hey - Mine was closed years ago and i am being messed about a 1hour phone call this morning where i will apparently be receiving a ack which i should have had back in june.
they told me to to contact progressive which i told them i am not prepared to do so in short. i ranted and raved finally got to speak to some one called becky in complaint (no help at all) so gave her FOS ref and told her i was hoping to sort it but between us but not getting anywhere.
FOS happy with all info told him and howmany time ive been in contact. he sounded like a cheshire cat grining, and said he will be sending them a letter immediately. (but then again may that was just him).
