Just to let you know Bob Diamond is on holiday for 2 weeks, you will get a generic reply, your claim is being dealt with blah blah blah.
If you are lucky and get someone to speak to they will only look at the claim and the august deadline is nearly here anyway.

hey amserall - i have a few complaints with Barclays and Barclay card , they are now quoting NOVEMBER in their letters.

(just so u know) i actually put mine in 2 week June.

Rae, they actually have 16 weeks to process your complaint, which would work in about right, I put mine's into RBS in May(I think) and they have till mid October.
Thanks to all the competition posters.

I put in my MBNA claim in September 2010.

I had the PPI running for about a year or just over on the 5th August (A YEAR LATER) received a refund on to my credit card of £740.

I have not yet received a letter so I do not know how the breakdown has been calculated.

    Well done and Congratulations!:beer::T:j

Hi I had a Barclays business loan in 2007 for £5000 which was paid in full in 8 months, paying £260 pcm for the loan.

I have just found out I was charged PPI which I didn't ask for.

Barclays have lodged my complaint and will be sending me out the reclaim paperwork, the PPI wouldn't have covered me if I needed it anyway.

Does anyone have any idea how much I could have returned to me?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi

The best of luck on your reclaiming, I'm sure someone will check the calcs out for you, more details will be required though and they will let you know what is what, good luck.;)

:j:j:j BarclayCard have made me an offer:j:j:j

After weeks and week of getting in from work to inspect the post, I have finally had an offer from Barclays!! :D

It is nowhere near as much as some claims on here, but since it was my money anyway, I am glad to be getting it back.

PPI was on my card from July 2008 until August 2010 when it was cancelled. They have offered the following:

    Refund of PPI : 479.38
    Refund of interest charged: 26.39
8% simple interest per annum: 34.96
    Total Refund: 540.73

Do these figures look right? Just wanted to check before I accept the offer.

    Well done Dan :T & Congratulations!

I'm not the one for calcs but hopefully someone will be along soon to check them over for you.;)

Thank you for posting this NN!

I have been looking out for you posting on here as I think I we sent in our claims to First Plus around the same time, and I was given a date of 8th august. So last month I emailed them for an update and received a letter putting my date back to the 12th.

I was desperately waiting for the postman today as we go away for a fortnight tomorrow and it will be at the back of my mind all the time. I'm not sure how the offers work and if you have a certain time to accept or not - so was scared in case I miss out :(

Good luck with yours and fingers crossed it will all be sorted for Xmas!!!:D

:D Good luck to you as well, I will post on here as soon as I here anything and maybe you could do the same, I hope you have a lovely holiday xx ;)

Looks like things are speeding up at last - had an offer today from Bank Of Scotland (for an old, closed Sainsburys Credit card).

No actual figures, just an offer of a full refund of PPI premiums plus interest - which I've accepted. They'll now work out the final figures, I've no idea what to expect as I have no paperwork any longer. But anything above the 36p it cost me to complain is a profit :D
