if thats any help to anyone xx

They should still have details on the loan then as it was not cleared until 2006, five years ago, I would tell them that down to the Data Protection Act (DPA) you are aware they will still hold the details they require in regards of the 2004 loan because the loan was not settled until 2006. Good luck.;)

I emailed the MBNA CEO and had no reply at all, today I sent another email to him.

What are the chances of getting a reply? has anyone else had problems with contact form Ian O'Doherty at MBNA?

How annoying when they don't get back and when you have to keep on to them all the time, it's just not fair is it, I expect they have plenty of underhand claim handlers to reply to your email.
I would give them until tomorrow then and if you hear nothing, email them again and tell them you will be contacting the FSA, this "may" shift them. Good luck.;)

thanks di do you have any thoughts why i've got two letters saying no but no mention of final decision

They should provide you with one at some point, but personally I would write to them again and make it clear that you need to know where you stand on this now because you may want to make the complaint to the FOS and you need to know if it's the final decision - because this have not been made clear to you.

Unless of course they are yet giving you another opportunity to send even further info in support of you're case. But they should let you know where you stand and you're rights on the FOS. x:)

np thanxs for any advice the letter last week more or less says staff fully trained to sell ppi.in letter back i sent gave more reasons
    nottold i could go elsewhere
    not given amount without ppi
how did you get them to change their mind was it blackhorse yours

it was with egg & they said it was outside of 6 yrs being from 2000 and they had no record of it, i just wrote to correct them and tell them how much id paid for the ppi...........

Well, id def take time to come up with a letter to reply to them with and state all the reasons you have mentioned. It isnt the end! and if they still reject you write back again and ask for a final decision and then pass your complaint to the FOS it seems long winded but your get there in the end :D

Hi there,if you had the final response, they will not deal with you in any way shape or form, you have to take this to FOS.
