PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

How annoying when they don't get back and when you have to keep on to them all the time, it's just not fair is it, I expect they have plenty of underhand claim handlers to reply to your email.
I would give them until tomorrow then and if you hear nothing, email them again and tell them you will be contacting the FSA, this "may" shift them. Good luck.;)Hi there,if you had the final response, they will not deal with you in any way shape or form, you have to take this to FOS.
good news is that Ian has passed it on to college who will look into the matter and come back to me within the next seven days.
Fingers crossed!!!0 -

What are the chances of getting a reply? has anyone else had problems with contact form Ian O'Doherty at MBNA?
I would give them until the morning to get back to you and if they don't try emailling matthew.brandrick@bankofamerica and see what happens.
Hope this helps0 -

Well, id def take time to come up with a letter to reply to them with and state all the reasons you have mentioned. It isnt the end! and if they still reject you write back again and ask for a final decision and then pass your complaint to the FOS it seems long winded but your get there in the end0 -
Hiya
Just for you to be aware, this can be a long drawn out process, but you will get there.
I am in the same position and mine is also being dealt with via the underwriter, so at first I write to the lender and not the broker and asked them to provide me with the PPI policy booklet details by post, they did so free of charge within a week or so.
These details are not always enclosed within your loan package copies (the info they send after you take out the loan).
So I then pursued the insurer (mine Hamilton) and they did not take any liability, but at least you can have this investigated by the FOS as they would have been regulated as being a insurer/underwriter, they will have liabilities there somewhere.
Good luck.;)
Thanks Di. Were your ones old as well i.e. pre 2005? I don't care how long it takes (not that you'd guess from my previous posts :rotfl:) but just would like to have some success!!
Have passed the details onto FOS for the insurer so presumably he will contact them and pursue it this way? I'll maybe call him tomorrow to check up on this though!0
