Hi all, first time poster but long time lurker! So please go easy on me (i bruise like a peach :D)

i submitted a claim into RBS via their ppi helpline number on the23rd of May so i thought i would chance my arm and see if i had any update as the original 8 weeks is up. in a nutshell i was told they havnt even looked at my complaint yet! and they dont think they will get a chance for at least another 4 weeks :mad:

has anyone had any RBS claims that have come back before the 16 weeks?

    cheers ya'll!

    Hi
I put a claim in with RBS around the same time as you did we haven't heard anything from them yet. ;)

Had a letter today from Santander saying the Burtons/B&Q and Kwik Fit ppi claims are not being withheld as the ppi boxes have been ticked. They have sent copies of them. I have no recollection of ticking these or this being explained to me.:(:(:( Have said I can take it further to ombudsman but I feel like giving up as I am small fish in a ruddy big ocean. Wouldn't know what to say or how to word things giving the impression I wont be taken for a mug. Very sad.:(:( If anyone can offer any advice would be really greatful.

Hi Ticked or not, we have all had to sign for our agreements for the loans/credit cards to go ahead and been successful in making a reclaim, so depending if you have other reasons behind this to support your case, as it may not have been explained to you, or maybe it was pre-ticked, or they told you you had to take it out.

Maybe you had a pre med condition as well, and the policy may have been worthless to you, there are so many reasons.

But was that the final decision given?

Yes I am just looking forward to the offer letter too. I have even thought of possibly taking it to our bank and asking if they would temporarily increase our overdraft so we could get away for a few days as we have had such a bad year, but with the financial state we have been in over the past couple of years (OH was made redundant twice within 18 months and now has had to take a position with half his normal salary and then had to go on short time working so you can imagine the state we have been in) I would doubt that they would agree to it anyway!!! But enjoy Cornwall with the kids and I hope the weather picks up for you.

    Thanks Dizzy.

Heres hoping good things come to those who wait.
