My GF has just called me to say that I have had success with my HSBC credit card ppi reclaim.

I only had the card for 9 months, but the PPI plus interest means a refund of £200 + quid.

Better than a kick in the teeth.

Just hope that the HBOS claims are whoppers :rotfl:

Well done hon, for just having this for 9 months that is good going that :T:j Congratulations! xx

Cheers Amersall, i was to be fair expecting this, as we said boxes were ticked etc , im not sure what they will have recorded as my wife did the talking, but if i can refresh your memory deal broker Norton lender Nemo
    original loan £25500.00 120 months
ppi £6311.25 plus interest £8614.98 for 60 months subject to interest rate changes.
total £31811.25 plus interest, based on monthly interest rate at 0.05450% apr 6.7%
we had this for 2 years and settled in full, at the initial stages we were told to treat the ppi as a savings plan and after 5 years we would get half of the premiums returned, we did need cover for such a large loan and this was the only option offered to us
when they sent us a letter regarding our application for ppi they state
1;if you can not work because of accident and sickness, (we both have full sick pay cover )
2;if we are made unemployed (again we both are made unemployed we have cover)
3;if you die (we both have critical life cover plus work benefits)
it states "you have selected to apply for ppi on this basis"
so now i have a squeaky bum time .

themass, this should have been upheld, but I know for a fact that Norton are one of those ones that do tend to reject, but you WILL win this whatever it takes, if it ends up with the FOS they will see through this too.

Lots of others I know of have been in the same position as you, but you will get there, I promise, both myself and amersall will do our best to help you through this.;)

Nice pic by the way x

Sorry to put a dampener on things but you will not get an email reply from HSBC other than to say it has been referred to the appropriate department.

Then in a couple of days you'll get a generic letter in the post saying they will write to you once their investigations are completed.

Happened to me earlier this week I'm afraid, and my claim has been with them since October 2010.

Don't worry am prepared to wait, they only have afew more weeks (31st August) I just wanted to annoy them abit .

Mine has also been with them since October, and I am being forced to continue paying for my PPI as loan is still running. There will be hell to pay is it is not upheld
