im tryin to spread the word please help me....
did you know that if you have reclaimed your ppi this autimatically makes your loan unenforcable!

My friend told me how he wrote off his whole loan the other day.. i didnt believe him one bit untill i started looking it up today and its actually true not a lie.

As soon as the bank has accepted they have mis sold apart of your contract it actually makes the rest of the contract null and void!!!

Thus you can claim again against your loan/finance sayin that it is unenforcable!

I found this company that do it www.claims.350.com

im sure there is probs a few others but i just couldn't be botherd to look ooops lazy
I would love to trust you but you have made a mistake already by putting on one thread that "YOU" had the loan written off and then on another that "YOUR FRIEND" had the loan written off. I think honesty is always wise on sites like this... .

Have you heard anything back from TPF I also have a claim with them. I had a letter back saying that they aim to complete their investigation within 4 weeks and that my case officer was Chris Williams. This letter was dated 17th Nov

    Hi Showergirl,

I too have received a letter from the ppi team in Manchester to tell me they are dealing with my complaint and my case officer is Chris Davis. My letter is dated 27th Nov. When i first sent my complaint i was allocated a case officer in Glasgow who then passed it onto Manchester and the estimated date for completion of this complaint is 5/1/09. Let me know if you hear anything;)

    Debt-free and Proud!
    Morning everyone,
Once again I'd like to say a great big THANK YOU to Di & Marshallka, I wrote to HFC bank requesting my SAR info in June, recieved info back in Oct after contacting ICO (not much help). November 6th I wrote to HFC requesting repayment of PPI due to the fact I was covered by my works policy for 2 years death in service benefit & also 2 years sickness benefit. 1st December received a letter stating they were repaying all premiums plus 8% interest, total £1533.32. Just for the cost of 3 registered letters, plus the help of 2 very helpful ladies. I'm still waiting to hear about my other HFC PPI, but this should be treated the same as this one (hopefully). Once again THANKS LADIES.

  • Just wanted to report the success I have had using the PPI reclaim letter.

Wrote to Alliance & Leicester in conjunction with PPI on a Car Purchase Plan I completed payment of in 2004, although took out 18months previous to that date. The loan was for 10,500.

I did at the time genuinely question the PPI but was told I needed to have the insurance. This was the basis of my claim.

I had paid approx 800.00 for PPI over the 18months, and have been offered 1028.00 including the interest, as a final settlement.

The whole process has taken just under 5 weeks, and I am just waiting for the Cheque...Just in time for Christmas!

Thank you for great moneysaving advice

I have received a cheque of £258.22 from Halifax for our secured loan 5 years ago :j :T . It's comes at a right time as our boiler broke down yesterday.

I have sent off 2 days ago follow up letter on our unsecured loan which they have refunded already but we thought ( with marshallka's help ;) ) that we have been short changed. I'll wait and see what happens.

Just an update. I received reply letter from Halifax that they will stand by their decision on their settlement figure on our unsecured loan. I think I call it a day. It's been worthwhile pursuing PPI and with all the help for all of you guys on this board specially marshallka;) .

It's been a roller coaster ride with us claiming our PPI for our secured and unsecured loans and the sinking of KE and ICESAVE which finally managed to have our money to where it belongs: Home sweet home!:j

Best of luck to those who are still claiming.
  • Hi

Big congratulations on the pay out :-) I am in the process of dealing with GE money and have just sent them evidence from my old university to prove that I was in fact a fulltime student. I called them and asked woul thi be sufficent and they said yes - do you think they may ask me to get a hold of national insurance contributions? also cheeky I know but how much did they award you as "goodwill"? I am getting my little hopes up........:j

    L xxxx

I provided my college certificate which showed that I had earned credits in the month I had opened the account but they said this did not prove that I was not also working at the same time (16+ hours a week) so it depends what you are sending them.

It was not difficult to get the info from HMRC, in fact there is an on-line form to fill in. The only problem here is that it takes time to come through. Once I had this, GE Money were able to average out the earnings per week and were happy that this was not full-time.

Goodwill payment was 8% per annum which for me ended up as just under £2000.

    Good luck.
  • Just sending first letter to First Plus. We initially turned down the offer of PPI as our jobs are secure and we get decent sickness cover anyway. The girl in First Plus then said to think of it as a "savings policy" 'cos we'd get the premium back after 5 years. Being British we said yes and then didn't read the small print:confused:. It turns out that whilst the policy premium is about £20000 which we would get back after 5 years, we continue to pay the monthly premium of £152.99 for the entire length of the loan, meaning we actually pay £45897.00!!! Some savings scheme, eh! We lose £25000!!! Also, the policy doesn't cover us both anyway - it's been mis-sold on so many levels, but don't know how far we'll get 'cos of not reading everything properly at first. Expensive lesson to learn methinks:mad:

Wish us luck - great to see that some people are getting their hard-earned cash back from the vultures who claim to be working in our best interests. Here's a thought - buy a safe and save for things instead of getting credit. Don't give 'em your money - they're not safe!:D
