I was told by Argos Financial a few weeks ago that my PPI mis-selling complaint was not upheld as they had supplied me with the documentation following the sale so that I could make an informed choice. I do not remember receiving any such paperwork so wrote back to them. In the process of complaining a letter from them to me didn't arrive and my recorded letter to them was never delivered. Don't know if this helped my case but I have today received a letter saying they are sending me a cheque for PPI premiums of £314.99 plus £25.20 interest. So pleased I didn't give up on that one. Thanks to you all for your continuing encouragement.
All my others, except MBNA, seem to be on hold for the JR decision.

Hi there I used all the templates from the web site and followed all the instruction - Success
5th August 2010 asked for a copy of my credit agreement for a £3500 loan taken out 2002
Lodged my complaint with Lloyds - TSB 20th September 2010
Received a response saying they were looking into it 4th October
Wrote to them again using templates 10th November chasing
Referred to the FOS 2nd December
FOS wrote back to me 2nd February they have lodged my complaint with LLoyds-TSB - gave me a contact name and address if I hear nothing within a week contact them
Contacted LLoyds-TSB on telephone - they are dealing and have 8 weeks
On the last Friday on the 8th week I called them
They were pretty shirty but said and offer was in the post dated 6th March- I said obviously not as it is Friday 1st April and yet to receive - please resend or email
Received letter talking percentages asking me to sign dated 5th April
Signed and sent back 7th April
Received letter dated 13th April saying I would be getting £917 .65 for the original policy plus £480.96 at 8% simple interest plus a payment of goodwill (not disclosed)
    Expect money in 21 days..........................................
Safe to say Result.......................YEY thanks very much Martin all your templates paid off. I did it all myself as I was stung by a company going after my shortfall with an endowment and I thought Mmmmm I could have done that.................So this time I DID IT

Welcome finance paid me out this morning! Well the FSCS did anyway.
Welcome were already investigating my claim when they went into default, i sent the FSCS questionnaire back last Monday, received a letter yesterday saying they were investigating and would be in touch within 30 days.
Checked my bank this morning and they've paid just short of 1900 into my account!
Havnt spoke to them yet, and had no idea this was going in, but am I ring in thinking the fscs has already paid the 1800 balance I had on the loan still?

Thanks for all your help :-)

    :T Congratulations. A very well done.

Something is defenetly going on at Halifax

we sent of our claim form of in November about being mis sold on a online loan

we did not want the ppi and were accepted for the loan but they then phoned us and told us that without the ppi the loan could not go through

We had received the usual letters about the complaint being on hold but today we recived a letter saying that have upheld are complaint and will be in touch with figures :j

Also that once the legal proceedings are over that if we are due further payment they will contact us :D

Well done on winning your claim. Fingers crossed you wont have to wait too long for the cheque.:T:T
