Recieved a letter today to say that my claim was now with an adjudicator. Does anyone one know how long it takes from now to get an answer? I have been waiting for over 18 months now!0

Hi there, write back to santander and ask for a copy of the recording where you accept the ppi,as you believe you were pressured into taking this ppi and if you were not, then you would like proof. Use this as the basis for your "new claim" give them 14 days to respond or tell them you will take this to fos.By the way,did the fos hear this recording?, as they did not uphold your claim?.
Hi amersall.
I've just checked my letter from the FOS and they say they've heard the recording and they're satisfied that I was given the option to have PPI.
I guess I'm just annoyed that I couldn't just finish the application online without taking the PPI or having the option cause I'm a bit of a softy so when it comes to talking to someone on the phone who recommends you take it, I say yes, even though I don't want it!
Lesson learned, don't worry!
Call failed when I tried to get in touch with LloydsTSB for an udate on the Credit Card PPI today...how strange!0 -
Hi
I wonder if you can advise me; I made a complaint to both MBNA and Egg in November 2010. I recieved letters from both of them telling me my complaint was being investigated and I would receive a response shortly. I then received a letter from MBNA last week informing me that they were unable to provide a final response due to judicial review however I have the option to take it to the FOS. I then received a letter today from Egg informing me that my compliant is being put on hold due to the "further request information" (not quite sure what this means).
Could anyone please advise what steps I should take next with both of these compaines.

Had some good news today from barclays re my complaint. Originally complained over the telephone mid november 2010, received a payment of £2100 into my account today. Appalling customer service though - told them about 2 additional loans on 30 november which they forgot to log. They finally logged them after my weekly telephone calls a week ago. Got told today that these 2 fall under the bba case and will have to wait for the ruling. Does anyone know the criteria for cases falling under this ? The reasons for complaint were the same as the reason on the upheld case. These were older loans dating to 2003 and 01. I am hoping this is not to do with some magic date that barclays have decided to use as a cut off point.0

Hi there
Thats good news then.
Its difficult to predict a timescale, but anything nor from 6 weeks to yes as you said 18 months, depending as well if the case becomes a complexed one and how quick the other party react, hope your not waiting too long though, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi there
You could sit this out a little longer if you want to, and give your own timescale, such as another month and then take it from the FOS from there, but its up to you of course.
Many are in the same position here, and also please be aware there are a high volume of complaints within the FOS as well, but you do have this option, hope you hear some good news very soon, fingers crossed.:)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
