    Hi!
Good to read people's successes in reclaiming :)

We're getting a wee bit frustrated with ours, to say the least.

Loan was from GE Money, paid to Moben Kitchens.

Moben said, not them, so did GE.

Ombudsman investigated and said actually, it's Pinnacle that provided insurance so forwarded claim to them on out behalf.

several months later, ages after deadline, we get "not us, try Moben or go to Ombudsman" from Pinnacle.

    Round in circles anyone?

All we want is someone to take responsibility but no of the three of them will. Loosing motivation to keep going on this one!

Did have a success, Co-Op bank sent us a wee cheque! "our investigations were inconclusive but have money". Nice!

  • I am currently in the middle of a complaint regarding PPI with my bank. I have just received a letter from the bank which says; to deal with the case more quickly they will make me an ex-gratia offer to bring the matter to a speedy conclusion. They will ensure that I am put back to the smae position that I would have een in had the PPI not been included with my credit card.
I do not cmpletely understand what this means, would you consider it to be a good offer?

    Hiya and well done!

This looks like they are putting you back in the position as if you never had ppi, but you can double check with them if you want to, they should be able to confirm.
    All the best.:)

I am claiming PPI from a Natwest credit card. The claim has been in three years!!! It was refered the the ombusman over two years ago and they found in my favour. Because Natwest did not agree with the findings, it has to go to a senior Ombudsman to review the original findings of the other ombudsman. I keep on asking for an update and i keep being told the same thing 'There's a backlog and it will be given to the adjudicator in due course' - I feel that i have been waiting a ridiculous amount of time - over 2yrs now for my case to be reviewed by an adjudicator!! Is there anything i can do? If i took this long to review a complaint in my profession, then i think i would be disciplined. Any advice would help

    Thank you fellow savers :)

My argument with Santander was that I applied for the loan online and was emailed saying in order to continue with the application I had to phone them to discuss PPI and when I did I felt pressured into taking it out but they disagreed. Apparently they've got the recordings so I won't challenge their decision.

I was only young when I got my credit card from Lloyds so they probably fobbed me off with PPI but it was a long time ago. I think I'll ring lloyds for an update on that. It's been a couple of months since I heard from them.
Hi there, write back to santander and ask for a copy of the recording where you accept the ppi,as you believe you were pressured into taking this ppi and if you were not, then you would like proof. Use this as the basis for your "new claim" give them 14 days to respond or tell them you will take this to fos.By the way,did the fos hear this recording?, as they did not uphold your claim?.

Well done on your win the co-op :j:j:money:
Go back to the fos with your Ge money claim, and they will help you and tell you what the next step is.

As di says, ring them and confirm this, but it seems they are giving you the correct redress.

Hi there, i know this stinks, but all you can do is wait and give them a ring every week until you get a result. Fingers crossed you dont have to wait too much longer.

Blimey  i thought our di was fast answering a post :D:D:D:D
3 years is too long in my opinion, if the fos uphold, there should be measures in place to make the banks payout in a certain time frame. Maybe a complaint to the fos about the time scale on this would help?.
