Just heard from Tesco, they are upholding my ppi complaint re credit card and my acceptance letter was sent on 23rd Dec,
so just need to wait for letter

I know its not over until the money is in my account, but this has only taken since october.
They are still working on my loan.

  • Thanks Di - looks like I'm in it for the long haul then....

Happy New Year to everyone :)
  • Received my cheque from Black Horse just before Christmas, now cleared through my bank, £2664 and some pennies, settled from first letter sent in July.
Many thanks to everyone on this forum, it was in the back of my mind since the beginning of the year and each time I saw those adverts I kept thinking "should I try at least?" but knowing a friend who used one of the companies who charged her 38% of her settlement figure I took encouragement from the many successes on here to do it myself. Thanks especially to those who personally advised me when I got my original response asking me to accept settlement without an actual figure, you are all stars and I cant say thank you enough, Happy New Year everyone

I know I may be right off key here but can anybody answer my query as to why some people seem to be getting paid out and others (me included) are being put on hold due to the judicial revue, even though my initial claim was submitted in July 2010 and I was offered a gesture of goodwill payment??
  • Hi all

I just wondered if anyone could help or offer advice, etc?

My husband started his complaint against Lloyds last May (09) and it is now with the FOS - they are waiting for it to be passed to the ombudsman. This seems to be taking so long, when do you think we will hear back? It is for credit card PPI over the last 10 years.

Thank you and happy new year!

    Hi there

I take it this was dealt with by an adjudicator and ignored by Lloyds, the reason why is was passed on to the ombudsman, lloyds will have to go along with the ombudsman's decision, where they don't have to with the adjudicator, the reason why this is taking some time, in the waiting for it to be in the hands of the ombudsman.

Give them a ring next week when the FOS return after the new year, and ask for an update, its difficult to predict a timescale, as this can vary, but also due to large volumes of complaints they're having to deal with as well, but hope they have something positive to tell you, good luck and all the best for 2011.;)
