What were you reclaiming: PPI Payment Protection Insurance
Who was the provider: Natwest
How much did you get back: £635.69
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: 1st Letter including questionaire
I took out 1 loan with Natwest then had 2 top ups which all included PPI. I sent off my complaint letter and 3 questionaires. It had been 10 weeks then yesterday I got a letter. They found no evidence that the policy was mis-sold and as a gesture of goodwill they are going to refund the insurance premium and interest on my first loan.
I'm still waiting for a responce from RBS on the two top ups I had on top of this original loan..
Can anyone tell from past experience if they will refund me my money on the other 2 loans?
Many thanks Mike
Well done on your win so far :j:j:beer:0 -

Hi everybody - not sure if I'm a success or a failure. After much correspondence with Barclays they have finally agreed to repay me £172 and they agree that I was mis-sold PPI. I closed the credit card account 5 years ago so the 172 only relates to the 6th year for which they say they have records. Given that I got the original card some 15 odd years ago, I'm feeling a little cross about the previous years for which neither they nor I (cos I'm a chaotic sort) have records. Is there anything I can do about the missing years?0

Hi there
First of all well done!
If you have any paperwork in relation to that account beyond the last 6 years then maybe it would be a possibility, you could contact them and tell them you will send them the copies you have (do not send originals).
But otherwise, they will only go by what they have on the system going back the last 6 years.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Sorry, forgot to post yesterday such was my delight.
Welcome agreed to refund £7072.53 due to ppi being mis sold over a few loans in the past 5/6 years.
This now gets us back on track and away from them.
It took around 9 weeks after completing the questionnaire sent with the original letter in June0 -

Got it/get in
claiming back . On a loan (a large one £84 k)
company first plus
refund £20,571.60 full refund of insurance premium+ interest on premium to date £10,355.91 this has come of the balance wiping out any arrears+ cheque for £962.59
i got this after my second letter.
After seeing all the story's about misselling i started to look and used martins templates adjusting them to why i felt it was missold to me and wow did it work
my monthly payment was £1031 p.c.m + £100 arrears,we were days away from having the house repossed and now no arrears and a new monthly payment of£768 p.c.m
working it out after taking future payments savings into account i think in all it has cost them close to £100k to settle
i hope that anyone with any doubts will look at this and and hopefully renew your hope ... This cost me 2x recorded delivery.
Hope ive put this in the correct section0
