I claimed on 2 loans that I had with Lloyds and received the letter saying I had been successful in my claim on both loans on 29th July. So I sent both acceptance slips in the same envelope recorded deliver. I chased them up last week as had heard nothing and today got 2 letters - one with the calculation for one loan and one saying sorry but we don't have the acceptance slip for the other.
I am furious after phoning their Customer Service Team where the rudest man ate down the phone at me and said 'we have lost it' and 'you need to send a new one in' even though that will delay the whole process by weeks! He wouldn't even see if it had been scanned on with the other acceptance letter in error.
He was going on about how they had had staff doing overtime scanning letters - as if I cared! I work in a call centre and the least you can do is your job ie to deal with the complaints and concerns of the person on the other end of the phone -not chew down it at them
I am so, so angry. I am away to write another snotty complaint email.
Grrrrrr, lol

Hi Emma

How frustrating for you!!!

I would ask them to compensate for distress on this - its down to them and not you, and also write a letter or email Lloyds TSB Chief Executive officer (CEO) to put him in the picture too.....

customer.care.insurance@lloydstsb.co.uk

Remember if emailing them to give the claim number details, good luck with this.;)

But well done on your success anyway!

• Hi all after reading about all the success stories here i decided to see if i could reclaim my PPI back from HFC bank, i was a bit uncertain if i would be successful as i had made a claim on it back in january 2005 but thought nothing ventured, nothing gained, well im pleased to say that today i hv received a letter from them stating that as a good will gesture they will pay back all my PPI less the amount that i had received for my claim, a total of over £1000 also including 8% interest, am now looking at other loans etc that i have had with different companies. just one question if someone could answer it for me, is there any time limit as to how far back you can claim.

Am so pleased that i found this site, thanks to everyone that posted on here couldnt hv done it without your help. :j

I share your frustration Emma. I sent off two acceptance slips to Lloyds several weeks ago. Ten days ago I got one text saying my loan was being processed, (Probably should have been two texts?) but nothing since. Looks like they are trying exactly the same on me as they did with you. Good luck and please let all know how you get on. I especially liked Di's suggestion advising compensation for distress!!

Hi Sue3165

I have made successful claims as far back as 1992 with Barclay card and as far back as 2000 with Barclays Bank so far without original paperwork, so i would say there is no harm in writing a letter claiming back any PPI, the cost of a stamp and a little of your time may pay dividends....:D
