  • Hi Everyone,

I have made claims for PPI from 2 credit cards and been successful on them both:

    • What were you reclaiming: Credit Card PPI
    • Who was the provider: Egg
    • How much did you get back: 389
    • Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: After 1st letter
    • And then write your brief reclaim tale: Saw on the money saving expert website that I could claim, so wrote my own letter. Was so quick and easy. They refunded me the whole PPI I had paid, plus the interest.

    • What were you reclaiming: Credit Card PPI
    • Who was the provider: Virgin
    • How much did you get back: £180
    • Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: Filled in template letter from moneysaving website and got offered refund in a reply letter.
    • And then write your brief reclaim tale: they have offered to refund me ppi paid pls interest charge on it. They ae automatically sending the money to me, but I am writing to ensure that the amount refunded covers the complete amount I paid as I lost a card whilst with Virgin, so they gave me a new account number, so need to check that they jave taken into account both accounts when calculating the refund.
It is very worth the short amount of time it takes to claim. I found the questionnaire template on this website took longer than the letter I wrote myself, it also had more info than the letter i wrote. If you are put off by the complex content in the questionnaire then I would encourage you not to give up and write your own letter with any info you can remember.

Lloyds have just upheld my next complaint re LPI on a loan. I reckon, with the loan I mentioned yesterday, and this one, I'll be due back about £5k. Once again, thanks to all for support and advice.

  • HFC PPI successful claim

Got a result from HFC (about £4K) for a previous loan.

Has anyone any idea how long you will usually have to wait from returning the signed settlement form and getting the settlement in yuor bank account?

    Hi and welcome

    Well done and Congratulations!:T:beer::j

After you send back the acceptance, give them say a month, if you hear nothing, then chase them up.
You may even receive your money way before then, but I would not give them longer than a month, good luck, hope you get your money soon.;)

I wrote my own letters, if people feel comfortable doing that then that is fine. Also, if people are ok with using the template letters then go with that.At the end of the day if the result is the same do whatever is most easiest.
