    Can anyone help?
This is the only thing stopping me taking court action.
    Thanks.

Hi, please don't give up. I'm also making a few claims against BH. Perhaps Tiggrae(please) can advise you. Good Luck & keep on with your fight, don't let the b******s win.
  • Hi can anyone tell me if i could reclaim as I was covered for sickness yet when i was off work for 9weeks with broken bones they failed to honour the agreement.

  • I have just got my reply from beneficial bank (now HFC)from 30th Sept! re ppi on a secured loan I had taken out. They have refused it sending a copy of the original loan which on the form says 'optional cover'. I distinctly remember when we got the loan feeling I had no choice but to take it. At the time I worked for 2 employers so it wouldnt have been useful unless I was unlucky enough to lose two jobs from 2 employers at the same time and being a nurse this would be unlikely therfore it would never have been any good. Should I still write further letter to them again or the FOS or have I signed away the right because the form is printed with the word optional. Now 10 yrs later I have learnt more financially and read every word, back then with emotions running I didnt question it just signed on the dotted line being led by the nose by the representative of the bank.

  • I had a letter from Egg about 3/4 weeks ago, reminding me that it was around 4 weeks since I'd complained and telling me it would take a while longer for them to get back to me... havent heard anything since...!

I'd say so, insurance didnt do its job. Unless you were drunk and fell down a cellar, why wouldnt they pay out?
  • MBNA have refused my claim and sent a final response saying no of course. However they have said they will not enter into any more correspondance with me about the matter. Does this mean they will not send me transcripts of telephone calls (SAR). Also how do I go about doing an SAR request?

    Thank you

omg just had a letter back from abbey national saying that they are upholding our complaint and offering us £1273.42 wich is amazing. husband thinks we were trying for just short of £2000 but im very happy to accept this offer. as we both said we never expected to see it again and this is going to help us uout immensly. still got 2 claims going through and capital one are on the second letter but this one in itself is amazing i cant believe it was so easy. we only sent the first letter of just after christmas and they said yes straight away.
back to comping in 2017, fingers crossed
  • Ok I have just spent half an hour on the telephone to The HBOS credit card customer relations manager, who informs me they will not pay back the PPI and that is their final word on the subject, if I want to go further then go ahead ! .. In England you can do an MCOL ... I live in Scotland...any online process I can follow there please that anyone knows of?.. am ready to take them on as I have succeeded in reclaiming bank charges of over £2000.00 so would like to try an online route.
    Cheers ... The Snook !
  • Got my second reply from the Co-operative Bank today - S*D OFF -
Not very nice people to bank with.

Now I know how they make a profit - by robbing customers and not so called Ethical Policies.

    What to do next???????

Money saving is now a way of life:cool:
  • Hi, I am wondering if someone can help me with what to do about reclaiming insurance for my Dad.

When he took out the loan with the Halifax, he was told to take the insurance for the loan. He signed the agreement as being employed in 2001, but 1 years later he became self employed and has been self employed ever since. Is there still a case to claim back the mis-sold insurance since he has been self employed since 2002 and has been paying for insurance that had no chance of claiming on?
