havent seen barclaycard mentioned anywhere and ive scanned a fair few pages. could anyone tell me if i can claim against them, i know i have been paying ppi as i have my statements from when i claimed the cc charges
what im not sure about is
1)when i opened the account, it may have been upto 10/12 years ago
2)whether i opened it in person at a bank,or just with an application form
3)if i was asked/informed about ppi,
obviously if i dont know these things i have no proof?
i suffer from epilepsy so would that be a factor, also in full-time employment
any help would be appriciated
thanks
Actually posted this a week ago, with no replies. is there anyone that can give an answer please
thanks
Just send them the template letter saying you thought that the salesperson was pushy etc, and see from there.
You can also ask them for all the details on how you signed up for the ppi etc.
Well worth it for the cost of a stamp! Make sure you cancel your ppi first!
Dont delay, get the Letter out that Martin devised today!

They have refused it sending a copy of the original loan which on the form says 'optional cover'. I distinctly remember when we got the loan feeling I had no choice but to take it. At the time I worked for 2 employers so it wouldnt have been useful unless I was unlucky enough to lose two jobs from 2 employers at the same time and being a nurse this would be unlikely therfore it would never have been any good. Should I still write further letter to them again or the FOS or have I signed away the right because the form is printed with the word optional. Now 10 yrs later I have learnt more financially and read every word, back then with emotions running I didnt question it just signed on the dotted line being led by the nose by the representative of the bank.
Hi, yes definately write back, use one of Martins templates which states you felt pressured into agreeing to the PPI. Good Luck.0 -
Hi,
Ive had a look through the forum and can seem to find any talk of PPI reclaims from Morgan stanley card (who have now been taken over by Goldfish).
Has anyone has any attempts (or better still success) with PPI reclaims from Morgan Stanley?
I have sent them the template letters to reclaim and threatening finacial ombudsmen action and they responded saying they didnt have time to look into my request and i was welcome to escalate my case to the "F,O"
So i have now sent my letter to the FO and got a reply to say they are very busy at the moment but my case will be looked at shortly.
So while i wait i would like to know if anyone else has tried with morgan stanley and how far they got?
Thanks in advance !

Hi there,
barlcays finally sent me a letter, they agree to re-schedule my loan and cancel the PPI so they offer me a new loan at the same APR 14,9% .
In the offer they sent me there are all the details of the new loan but there is an extra percentage charged call nominal charge fee of 31.217% percent that i never saw in my previous loan agreement!!
Do you know how the calculate the APR, i am so confused in my loan statement there is an interest charge that come out every month ... do you know if there are some hidden cost in the loan ?? sorry guys i am confused and i am trying to calculate to make sure that what they offer me is fair before to accept the new loan!!! are they supposed to send you a cheque or just reduce the existing loan?
HELP

Hi, I am wondering if someone can help me with what to do about reclaiming insurance for my Dad.
When he took out the loan with the Halifax, he was told to take the insurance for the loan. He signed the agreement as being employed in 2001, but 1 years later he became self employed and has been self employed ever since. Is there still a case to claim back the mis-sold insurance since he has been self employed since 2002 and has been paying for insurance that had no chance of claiming on?
I had a similar situation with Barclaycard. Did your Dad write to inform them that he had become self-employed ? They might possibly hide behind the fact
that he was employed when he signed up and did not notify them of a change in his employment circumstances. Still it might be worth a try to reclaim from 2002.0 -
Hi have had a reply from loans.co.uk and they have said that they have reviewed the file and the sales advisor went through the demands and needs questions to ascertain our need for an insurance policy and I answered yes to all questions. Apparently he also advised us that what the policy would cover us for and that it was for a 5 year period and recomended that we read through the policy.
This was there final letter. Basicly we have not a leg to stand with this do we.?
Any advise would be greatMAD EBAY CHALLENGE #5 25 ITEMS =£70.15/£20000 -
