Thanks for that, it's something I hadn't thought of. I hope it is the case, we'll just have to wait for response to the letters.0

I've just remembered that OH has taken 2 loans out in the past, and I'd like to get PPI reclaims started on those, as I'm certain it would've been added. However, he is currently in a Debt Management Plan with CCCS, and I'm worried that if I start claiming all over the place, the companies that he's still paying money to will say "stuff the DMP" and he'll end up in a far worse position.
Has anybody had experience of this situation?0 -
Hi what exactly did you complain to the FOS about, was it the fact they wouldn't pay on the PPI or was it for mis selling - if it wasn't mis selling then you could go back to make a claim
Hi, I complained to the FOS about the bank mis-selling me the PPI when they knew that I wouldn't be able to claim on it and that I couldn't claim when I tried to.
If you think that I can make a claim can I use the letter template from this website to do with unemployment/ self-employment?0 -
It seems everyone is trying to claim now even if they were sold a PPI legitimately. The banks and loan companies are now starting to fight back by contesting court action especially black horse.
With every decent genuine PPI mis-selling claim there seems to be 2 who are simply as they think it is a 'money for nothing' idea.It just seems to be spiralling out of control now everyone seems to be 'in on the act'.0 -

could it not be everyone has just realised thet were mis-sold. like myself my oh was told by black horse no ppi no loan. we were sold ppi when i have numerous medical conditions, i am disabled and unemployment going under numerous medical tests at the time. i was 100% mis-sold the policy and black horse are saying we were not. so it is with fos.0 -

Hi,
My loan that i am disputing PPI on is still with the Debt Management Team on reduced payment. LTSB have told me they are not upholding the complaint and it is now in the hands of the FOS. At no time have LTSB mentioned the reduced payment plan. To be honest, i think in these situations the banks are glad they can come to any sort of agreement to get their money back

There is no doubt the odd person who would jump on the band wagon, but have you not read the posts??? Everyone on here has been genuinely ripped off by banks and yes, everyone should make a stand. The power needs to come back to the people to decide what is best for their finances and not the bank who see people in need as easy profit.0 -
Hi Guys and Girls,
For the ones that have been following me, I had a letter today saying that they will refund the Payment Break Plan Charges, totaling £157.70. I have no idea how much Payment Break Plan Charges I have paid (only got statements going back to Dec 2006, and had the card from Dec 2005) but i have always had around £3K debit on it. Whats the best way to find out all charges regarding Payment Break Plan, i had asked Monument for my card charges when claiming my credit card charges, but they did not show me charges regarding Payment Break Plan.
Any ideas?0 -

Hi when you sent the letter requesting the list of charges did you use the template for reclaiming bank credit card/loan charges as i'm sure it says all default charges on it. Write another letter back to them stating that they had forgot to include any payment break plan charge's and could you please have a list of those too. Remember be nice as you don't want to upset them until you are reclaiming against them.:D0 -

Hi lucid you are right in a way their are people out there jumping on the band wagon and they are called tort lawyers. Ie the ones whom are doing for a percentage of the reclaim so i'm sure if you do have a problem you should address them first as they are attempting to flood the market for quick money whilst in the process stall all others with good case's.0
