I have received my Final Response from Barclaycard telling me to go to the FOS, before i do this is there anything else i can do before registering my complaint?
They actually sold the PPI to me over the telephone at 6 o'clock at night!!

sure. there is a host of little goodies mixed up in this one. I am pretty confident that you could possibly get you all your money back on this one. I dont mean just the ppi. I mean every penny you paid paragon on the loan itself.I am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.

The above reply was for Happysmile.
Debbie sorry, cracking up today. I may be able to provide you with a few levers to influence your lender's decision making process. lolI am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.

We took out a secured loan in March 2004, added to it was 2500 ppi, upfront, we were told if we kept the loan for the full 10 years we would get the full 2500 back. We paid the loan off in full in August 2005 and were refunded 300 odd which is what we had paid out for the ppi already. What I would like to know is do I stand a chance of getting the other 2200 back? It was arranged through loans.co.uk and the loan was with Paragon. Loans.co.uk have sent a letter with paperwork for the finacial ombudsman.
Thanks for any help at all!!0 -
I sent a SAR to Lloyds TSB, Egg and GE Capital on 20 November 2007. Egg kindly (!) sent me a form to fill in with my returned cheque. I am still waiting for GE Capital to reply. Lloyds TSB have sent me statement of charges incurred for my current account, statements of my savings account and also a loan statement that I had with them 4 years ago. They haven’t sent me the details for another loan I took with them 5 years ago or my credit card details which I have had forever.
Does anyone know if I should be sending a separate letter to a different address for my credit card details?
I remember taking a loan out with Colonial too some time back. Are you only able to claim PPI for the last 6 years as with bank charges? I know I took out PPI back then because my FA said it would help my application – young and niave that I was I took it out L0 -
Hi guys,
Quick question. Sent the first letter off to HBOS on 23rd October demanding my PPI be refunded. Got sent a letter from them one week later saying the they would look into this and it would not take any longer than 6 weeks. Recieved another letter from them on the 23rd of November saying that they are still investigating this, but I'll receive a reply before 24th Dec!!! Surely they're just fobbing me off, but is there anything I can do?
Cheers

Hi
I sent a template letter to HSBC as I am convinced I was told the insurance was mandatory in order to get the loan, I received this morning a letter explaining that the enquiries are not yet complete and they need 4 more weeks from the original 4 weeks !!!!
Are they taking the mickey out of mickey!!!!!!!
Could anybody advise on the next step as at this rate they will send me another letter each two weeks to get 4 more weeks?
Thanks in advance
Mickey
Hold on in there. I had the same response, 5 days after the letter I received an offer.0 -

Carrera 74. If you are claiming for mis-selling there is a window of 6 years. However i dont claim for mis-selling. I use a totally different issue to pursuade the lender to pay you. This one has no time limit as such so we can go back up to 10 years or more.I am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.
