When i took out my credit card in 2004 i was a housewife and i've received a letter back today stating unless i can prove i was not working in march 2004 they are not bothered, if i can provide info they will refund me.
on my application i stated i was a housewide and had been since 2002.
since i get no p45's , p60's etc how can i prove it.
do you think my annual review from tax credits from 2003-2004 which showed my personal circumstances and on this it says i was not working or self employed do you think this will be enough evidence.
how else can i prove i was not working???
    help please
    many thanks
your tax credit review should be sufficient

Can anyone advise re the Lloyds TSB credit card SAR? I presumed this would have been included with my general TSB SAR I sent to Gresham Road, London?
Hi Lloyds TSB / Lloyds TSB Credit Card operate as 2 separate entities so you'll need to send a separate request to the address of the credit card
  • Hi,

Ive just been reading about this and at the time I took the loan out I was advised I would only be accepted if I took out insurance with it. This added an extra £331.50 onto the loan.

I was sent no documentation in realtion to the actual loan insurance.

My only issue is, although ive got a copy of the credit agreement, how do I prove that they would only offer the loan if I took out the insurance with it?

I took the loan out via the phone, and they hand delivered the contract along with the cheque. Ive attached a copy of the agreement, but removed personal details. (Althogh ive noticed they have put me as having one dependant which wasnt the case at the time!)

write and ask for a transcript of the telephone conversation, when they say it was corrupted tell them you were Negligently Misrepresented to and under the Misprepresentation Act 1967 the onus is upon them to prove otherwise

Carrera 74. If you are claiming for mis-selling there is a window of 6 years. However i dont claim for mis-selling. I use a totally different issue to pursuade the lender to pay you. This one has no time limit as such so we can go back up to 10 years or more.
My 2 loans with ltsb were in vo 98 and 99, how can i claim the blatent mis sale of ppi twice in 12 months??
Any help appreciated as skint as!!!

Thank you for your advice. Very much appreciated.

Im presuming that would be the best first step to take. Should I send a letter asking for that first, or add that into the first template letter when reporting I was mis sold this?

Also, How do I stand in regards to time limits? As this was taken out in September 2001, just over 6 years ago.

I think as long as you've being paying the loan premiums back within the last 6 years it doesn't matter when you took it out. As for what to write, use the template letter and see what response you get to it.

I’m intrigued! How would I find out if I am able to go down this route?

I'm intrigued as well, I'd like some more info if possible.

    Hi gt568.

I happen to have gained knowledge that is most useful in challenging a large proportion loans and mortages. But with powerful knowledge comes responsibility.
I am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.

However, I have since seen the light.
