I think some ATMs and SuperCard are incompatible. In Switzerland, we tried at a Raiffeisen ATM without success. We tried at a nearby UBS and that worked. Most Swiss banks use the Bancomat system, Raiffeisen don't (at least not the branch we tried).
We have since used Bancomat ATMs without a problem. I don't know about today, though.0 -
Yes I've used both the exact ones before0

I'm currently tearing my hair out dealing with the Supercard customer services.
When I returned from holiday at the end of September I checked all my transactions to make sure they were correct and while doing so I found 2 transactions for TuxedoMoney on my linked account that I haven't made. When I reported this to customer service I was asked to email screenshots of the transactions on my bank account - this was on the 5th September. I'm still being bounced around between departments and told to expect it to be resolved shortly.
I also used the Supercard on arrival to pay the security deposit for the apartment we stayed in. This deposit was refunded on the 21st October but it still hasn't appeared in my linked bank account. Supercard has promised to sort this within 48 hours. We'll see!
All in I'm currently short of about £700 thanks to Supercard. I can't imagine I'll be using it again.
Has anyone else had similar issues?0 -
I found the only way to get a refund was to doa complaint via email to the address in the t's and c's.
A nice guy from Chester sorted it manualy.
The call centre goons will just keep repeating what's on the script.
Will only use it for ATM withdrawls now,but even that's risky.0 -
I've found Twitter pretty good at getting stuff resolved
On my own issue above apparently my card is blocked and they have unblocked it a few times but it's remained blocked so are sending me a new card. Shame it was sorted for this trip though0 -
I though I would drop a quick note in here that might save some time for somebody.
I have successfully linked my Supercard to my personal Santander debit card and have used a couple with mixed results, usually the same time out issues stated in this thread , seemingly related to the fact that its an "Electronic Use Only" card.
Anyhow, these problems aside, I have been trying to link it to my Santander Business Debit card, assuming that this would be straightforward as my personal account was already linked
Wrong, apparently Santander will block the use of business cars on Supercards for "security purposes".
Process has been going ongoing for a couple of months, initially Supercard support were v slow in responding and not very helpful with the dumbass messages I was getting back from the app when adding a card, but as time has gone by, their responsiveness and helpfulness has seemed to have got better (at least for me)
Will persevere, however have been a bit disappointed as I have bought some expensive items in US dollars and on the occasions when I would have saved a lot of money using a Supercard, it has let me down.0 -
Yep, the same problem here - there was a duplicate transaction (cash withdrawal) in Italy in July, which I complained about back in July, and it was sorted out then.
A couple of days ago I saw the amount held in my bank _and_ an email, saying "we couldn't charge it back in July, so we're charging it now". A call to their first line support didn't help - the dude there didn't understand the problem and kept demanding me to send them a copy of my bank statement, proving the amount was paid (and it wasn't - it wasn't a legitimate transaction at all). He also said that many customers received these emails and there must be a problem with the system. Anyway, I requested a management call-back and will try to sort it out with them, again.
The bottom line - the product is very raw and buggy, use with caution!0 -
Absolutly useless at a variety of ATMs in Germany and Austria last week.0

Out of curiosity, I just withdrew 100 AUD on mine. It worked perfectly with no extra charges.
However, the VISA exchange rate is so poor that it cost nearly 2% more than using a Clarity to withdraw the same amount... albeit with the extra faff of keeping the account in the black.
It has been relegated to emergency use only.0 -

I'm speculating. Could this have anything to do with the surcharges applied on card transactions in Oz, which give the unwary a surprise when checking out of hotels?
My CHF and USD ATM transactions work well.0
