Travelex Supercard

I did not link it to my credit card at the time of the transactions but rather to my debit card. I later changed the linked card to my credit card and as a result of Supercard not properly processing my transactions in the first place they are now trying to debit my credit card thereby making it look like I withdrew cash on my credit card.
Any advice please?
That's not what has been advertised, or what has been reported by other users, and is one of the main selling points of the card, this was a foreign transaction ok wasn't it? You didn't use your supercard in the UK?

Supercard's a top pick on all of these, as there's no exchange loading, no charge for spending, no cash machine fees, and – as cash withdrawals made through Supercard are charged to your account as spending, rather than as cash withdrawals – there's no interest, even if your linked card is a credit card.0 -
What are 'these fees' detailed as on your credit card statement?
I have a Barclaycard credit card and once got it mixed up with my debit card so inadvertently used it to withdraw money from a cash machine (in the UK). Barclaycard charged me fees for doing so.
A quick google found this from their website:
"If I withdraw cash on my Barclaycard from an ATM or bank is there a charge for this?
You can withdraw cash from over 24 million cash machines worldwide but you will be charged a fee to do so.
For sterling (UK) withdrawals a cash fee is applied and is dependent on the type of card you have. For information on the exact fee simply check the back of your statement or your terms and conditions.
Alternatively you can find more information on our cash fees in mybarclaycard online account servicing. To register for or log in to mybarclaycard click here. Once logged in select ‘Review your spending’ and then click on ‘Useful information’ at the bottom of the page.
Foreign cash withdrawals don’t have a cash withdrawal fee, however you will be charged the non-sterling exchange fee of up to 2.99% (there is no minimum charge).
Your total and daily cash withdrawal limit is displayed on your statement and within mybarclaycard online account services.
Please note that interest rates tend to be higher for cash withdrawals compared to regular purchases, so it can be costly to use your credit card to withdraw cash on a regular basis."

Until the person who posted comes back and clarifies what they mean, they are the only person in this thread who has reported something like this despite many others linking the Supercard to their CC.0 -
I haven't had any problems thus far but have only used the card online. I do have the following observations though:
Two transactions didn't appear on the app for hours. I have, however, checked my online credit card statement and they've been pending (and later processed correctly)
The Santander Spendlytics app shows all Supercard transactions as cash but there's no indication that any fee or interest is due so perhaps the app just doesn't know how to classify them correctly. Some transactions were on last months statement so I would have expected interest to have been shown. To clarify, these were web transactions for hotels/flights and not cash.
I am concerned by some of the issues raised by others on here, particularly in relation to duplicated debits, and I shall monitor users feedback over the next couple of months as I won't be going abroad until November. I think that I'll apply for a Halifax Clarity as that seems a very good alternative. I'll be away for 6 weeks so mightn't be able to clear cash withdrawals as soon as I'd like but it'd probably still work out cheaper than my other cards.0 -

An alternative is the Metro Bank Current Account if you are travelling in Europe and can get to one of their branches in South East England. The other alternative is the Norwich & Peterborough Gold Current Account. But you would have to remember to pay £500 into this account each month.0 -

Irrelevent. You withdrew cash on your supercard, not your barclaycard.
Stop worrying and report back when you do or rather do not actually get charged tangible fees!0 -

In Europe most of the time, yes. But this is not always true.
In some countries notoriopusly in Asia such as Thailand, there is always be a small fee any time you withdraw cash. The fee is flat and this is nothing to do with the card as this local cash machines are owned by the local banks. There is no way you could avoid this fee.
But the card issuer such as Halifax Clarity has already warned people about this. I have not tried it with Supercard but I believe the same principles will apply here as they are not in control in this matter.
Alhough I have not experienced it by myself while I was in the US but I have read reports, it also happens in a few local cash machines in the US.0 -

They are fees from the machine though, not fees added by your card issuer as jellybaby is implying0 -

Did he withdraw cash in the UK using Barclaycard ??
If so then he is very naive. Most of (if not all) creditcards will charge you both cash wihdrawal fee and interest from the day you withdraw cash from cash machines in the UK. He should learn the very basic thing of how to use creditcard before start using it.
Unlike debitcard, the creditcard is in general a method of payment, not the way to get an interst fee free loan .........0 -
Not the fee - I'm referring to the exchange rate. At those inferior Raphael Bank exchange rates it negates the reason to use the Supercard surely?? You'd probably get better rates directly from your linked card. Either way you are not getting the Visa daily rate. Its no better than taking cash out from a money changer with lower rates surely? Unless your soul purpose is to use it just so you don't pay the cash interest fees?
I can now confirm I have used the card at an ATM in the UK and withdrawn euros, with no added fees and got an exchange rate of 1.416, this was a first trust euro machine
slightly better than XE.com is currently showing0
