Liverpool Airport Parking Fine

Hi
I am hoping some of you experts can give me some advice on the best action to take, whether to ignore them, write back to them or appeal.
In Feb I dropped my wife and sister in law off at Liverpool John Lennon airport, I wasn't sure best place to stop, so turned around on an empty side road, stopped for 30 seconds, they jumped out and I drove off. Only to receive a parking charge notice 4 days later for £60, increasing to £100 after 14 days.
I did not see any signs for not stopping, I was not blocking an entrance, no cars were on the road at all during this time.
Reading about it since then, it seems Liverpool Airport side roads are a target place for this company, with a van parked up ready to catch anyone who stops or even drives slowly on the road.
The fine was from Vehicle Control Services Ltd.
The reason says stopping on a roadway where stopping is prohibited.
I received a 2nd final reminder notice a few weeks ago in April, demanding payment of £100 within 7 days.
I have been away and busy with family since then, could do without the stress, was hoping it would go away but guess not, so please can you give me advice on the best action to take?
Thanks

Not a fine a speculative invoice, they will be writing in red ink next to scare you. Plenty on here about JLA. As you have ignored carry on ignoring.0

The scammers that infest JLA are in cahoots with said airport as its is a (allegedly) mutual financial arrangement ....
Go back 1 year and you would win this at a POPLA appeal ..... however in the world of PPC's they can create another appeals body (the IPC) that are a (again allegedly) kangaroo court  (the IPA)
you therefore can (after reading the below) chose to wait it out , or in IMHO do the appeals as a paper trail.
VCS are about to try out their first small claims court case over such .... I predict that they will pull out before the trial ..... (update ---they they did pull the case with a week to go .... wonder why?
)
Please do not let this put you off ..... read and understand ........
then come back with any questions
I am going to give you some more reading as, all this b@@licks at the 'Welcome to John Lennon Airport' is getting silly ....

PCN numbers are the reference numbers the parking company allocate to each charge they issue - they uniquely identify each case
So please edit your post asap and remove any details that could identify your PCN
The parking companies do trawl the forums and have been known to to use posts they can tie to a particular parking charge against the poster0
