Why not just type the whole message in the message box rather than starting it in the title field? Makes them awful to read!0

Is it for Rip-off Britain - a few posters got a pm about John Lennon Airport fake PCNs. Me included but I am too busy to respond to pm's this week.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes it is at Salford Today.
I will ask when the program is due to air.
Ralph:cool:0 -
The program Rip Off Brittan will be aired January next year.

Was it interesting? It's a bit of a shockingly bad programme isn't it, normally. But at least it's covering the PPC scam shortly before the Beavis case!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

We will have to see..... Having seen all the unedited bits , how the final one looks will be interesting. I was fun :-)
There where four of us who where interviewed. There was a lot of video shots ...... cars driving in, us all lined up ........ prob for voice overs.
We each only had about 1/2 mins which will be edited down to about 20/30 sec IMHO. The questions are asked by the assistants and the presenters voices will be added later.
I had taken a list of points to be made, when it became obvious that we would not get long enough for me to mention them all the crew got a lecture about all the points ........ and I asked them all to pass them on. ....... we will see....
3 of the 4 guests had won appeals against stopping, the fourth is part way through ....... so please look for his posts after I pointed him here :-)
I felt sorry for him as he now cannot do the POPLA appeal due to VCS moving 'rats nest' . I continued to make sure that every one understood the fact!
I do not have the print out that I took , but the below is the points that I had made in preparation
............................
How do John Lennon Airport think that they can get away with such companies acting on their behalf.
Changing from a limited time drop off to a 'arrive at the barrier and have to pay' for a few seconds!
The signs are too detailed to read while driving. The only way to read them is to stop...which would mean you get a fine.
The ticket was issued under the protection of freedoms act 2012. However, this only applies to parking. It does not apply to brief stops. Therefore they had no right to apply to the DVLA.
So why are the DVLA being complicit? Could it be the income generated?
Local byelaws. exist, therefore POFA 2012 does not apply. (Protection of Freedoms Act 2012)
Lastly the PCN charge bears no relation to their loss, and POPLA has never upheld their charges. They a PPC cannot fine or charge a penalty ,
Their demands are punitive, unreasonable, and exceed an appropriate amount, that have no relationship to the loss that would have been suffered by the Landowner.
The BPA Code of Practice states:
“19.5 If the parking charge that the driver is being asked to pay is for a breach of contract or act of trespass, this charge must be based on the genuine pre-estimate of loss that you suffer.''
So
VCS have now moved away from the BPA where a POPLA appeal was winnable, to the IAS alternative supplied by VCS' new Trade Body, the IPC. Is clearly not independent , they are are allededly, rude to consumers and biased . It is not even clear who makes the decisions .
So now people caught in this money making scheme will not even be able to appeal to POPLA!
Oh f@#@ I do not know why the font size changed...

Well done for doing the prog! Glad to hear 3 out of 4 have been won and you've pointed the other guy here now even if he has a pathetic IAS appeal to do. It may be winnable as VCS won't be able to show a GPEOL and their signs will likely not have been changed yet from BPA ones (did you notice if they had?).PRIVATE 'PCN'?
