How far along were you when you told people you were pregnant?

Didn't you say a while back that your partner was particularly nervous about you getting pregnant? So much so that he wasn't that keen? Perhaps he just needs a little while to get his head around it. (I still feel like that to be honest and DD is 4.5! :rotfl:)Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0

I want to go but I don't think paying £40 for a ticket to not go on any rides is worth it. I'm not risking it.Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

I fell down a full flight of stairs at about 5 weeks. There's very little harm can come to an embryo at that point. They're tiny and very well protected.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -

Yes, I'm aware of that but I doubt you fell down the stairs on purpose, although I'm glad everything was okay afterwards.
I'm just not comfortable with the idea, and if I got to my scan and found out something was wrong I would feel so guilty (even if the two events weren't linked at all)Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

I certainly didn't!
That's fair enough.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -

Reminds me of one of my pregnancies. I had some bleeding and doctor told me to go home, go to bed and rest. I said, "Will that definitely help?" She said, "Oh no, won't make the slightest difference but if the worst comes to the worst at least you won't be blaming yourself." We ended up having babies within a few weeks of each other. She was a lovely GP.
Just to add he is now a strapping, healthy lad of 6'3" so all was well.Sell £1500

Congratulations on your pregnancy.
Our road to parenthood was very difficult, with several losses on the way.
So, with each successive pregnancy, we told family and friends later and later!
So much so, that by the time I was having my youngest son, (my 10th pregnancy) I told no-one until I was around 36 weeks!
That did cause quite a kerfuffle, I can tell you.
Good luck with your pregnancy, I wish you health and happiness :-)This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Aw Lulu congratulations on your long awaited pregnancy :j
I lurk/read the TTC threads and have done for a long time. I'm not TTC but had a long, arduous time of it when I was (ds is now 3!) and I like to read how other people cope with the pressure of it (blimey I sound like a right nut job ) and I was always rooting for you!
I had no choice but to tell my work not long after I found out as I was ?ectopic and I'm a nurse in A&E so had to present there when I was referred! I was 6 weeks and it made for a very looooong pregnancy, I can tell you!
I hope you are well and things are progressing nicely, good luck0 -
Hi everyone and thanks for your support.
I thought I should update in case somebody finds this post and brings it back to the front.
We told parents and siblings on 24th May, and OH's Nan on 30th May. Unfortunately that was the same day that I started bleeding and on Tuesday 2nd June I was told via ultrasound that I was miscarrying at 8 and a half weeks. The hospital have given us no advice whatsoever (I don't even know if I should be at work today!).
Needless to say, OH and I are devastated.
Once again thank you for the support, and if there's a next time I'll be waiting as long as possible to tell!
